Days had gone by almost weeks and you could tell the girl was getting used to having Klaus bother her. The only way she was keeping updated was Caroline but she barely knew what was happening.
She even thought about picking up the phone and calling him to check up on him which she thought was absurd. Why would she call to check up on him? He could fend for himself and she knew that.
The problem was he had become a routine for Daniella and she hadn't even noticed it. She had begun to be used to him and liking his company. If he was around that meant she was being heard which would rarely happen.
She was in her bed looking at her phone debating what to do. She wanted to just see what was wrong but she didn't know if it was wrong to do so. It was late as well. She didn't know if the man had a bedtime but she knew it was way past hers.
Daniella spiraled for a few more minutes then she finally pressed on Klaus' name which she had saved. She didn't know why but she did. She put the phone up to her ear once the first ring went through.
Then the second barely got through when he had already picked up the phone. That's when she blanked.
"Daniella? Love? Are you alright?" Klaus questioned noticing how she didn't say anything right away but her heart was beating fast.
"I...no I'm fine I was just..." she paused again. "Now that I think about it it's dumb sorry for calling I'll..."
"You can call anytime I do not mind at all. You actually just made my night" klaus couldn't believe the things that were coming out of his mouth at all. He was completely whipped.
"I just thought it was weird that you hadn't come around which you're not obligated to...I was just..." she rambled on. She didn't know how to get to the point without sounding like she cared. "Wondering if you were okay?"
When Klaus heard this he couldn't help but smile. He put what he was doing down and went to sit on his hair in his room. "Concerned for me are we?"
"Oh don't be an ass I'll hang up right now and you won't hear from me ever again...."
"No, no, no. I'm grateful. I am..." Klaus paused thinking of the events of that night. "Not in the best shape but that doesn't matter now. Glad you called"
"I think I know what happened. Your mom? I kinda figured it out from what you told me" Daniella mentioned. Klaus had mentioned that he kept his family in coffins except his father.
Daniella put the pieces together which was smart of her.
"Yet you didn't tell," he pointed out. The crew had been going insane all week long trying to figure out who was in the coffin.
