Soon the sunny morning of the weekend came Rudraksha and Ambika sat quietly at the breakfast table, the soft morning light filtering through the windows. They were immersed in their meal when Ambika broke the silence.

"As I told you before, I'll be going with my friends to the festival today," Ambika announced, a hint of excitement in her voice.

Rudraksha glanced up from his plate, his expression calm and composed. He knew how much Ambika had been looking forward to the festival, and he didn't oppose her plans. In fact, he wanted her to enjoy herself and have a good time with her friends.

"That sounds good, Ambika. When should I come and pick you up?" Rudraksha asked, his tone casual yet attentive.

Ambika's face lit up with a smile. "Oh, you don't have to worry about picking me up. We'll probably stay late, so I'll just take a cab home," she replied.

Rudraksha grew annoyed at her words,"What do you mean you will come alone? I will pick you up and drop you aswell."

"You don't have to, because now I know very well about this place! And it's also very safe... So... I don't see the problem." She said.

"No, you aren't going anywhere then. Stay here and wait for me like a good wife, no festival for you." He commanded and stood up from his seat and looked angrily at Ambika who looked hurt and said,"I... Why are you acting like this..." Her voice was barely a whisper.

He rolled his eyes and sighed, he felt bad for her. This girl will be the dead of me.

"Rudra, please understand. I want to go with my friends," Ambika pleaded, her voice gentle yet resolute.

Rudraksha's jaw tightened, his irritation evident. "Ambika, I don't like this idea, but fine. Do whatever you wish," he said tersely, his tone laced with annoyance. "But I want to see you back here by eight."

Ambika nodded, sensing Rudraksha's disapproval but grateful that he had reluctantly agreed to her plans. "I promise, I'll be back by eight," she assured him, her eyes earnest.

Rudraksha sighed, his expression softening slightly. "Just be careful, Ambika. Call me if you need anything," he added, his concern evident despite his irritation.

Ambika smiled gratefully, understanding Rudraksha's protective nature. "I will, Rudra. Thank you for understanding," she said sincerely.

With that, the tension eased between them, and Ambika left for work with a lighter heart, looking forward to the festival with her friends.

After Ambika left for work, Rudraksha tidied up the breakfast dishes and prepared for his day at the headquarters. He grabbed his keys and briefcase, then headed out into the bustling city streets.
