Despite the fact that Sarah was being charged by a beast bigger than her middle school, her only thought was, "How did I hear him say that?"
She was over one hundred yards away and she knew that he had only grumbled it. She was running as far away from the beast as possible. Then Sarah tripped on a rock. She felt pain spike up her left ankle and fell to the ground. She felt cornered, trapped and most of all, scared. Sarah was five again and terrified of the monster under her bed. While being petrified of the imaginary monster, she was in love with the ones in her books. Then a name popped into Sarah's mind - Hecatoncheires.
Sarah was about 20 feet away from the monster now and had just come out of her trance. Thankfully, she did not only remember its name, she also remembered its weakness. "Ice!" Sarah shouted, "It's weakness is ice!"
The beast was almost on top of her now, getting closer with each stride.
It was only 12 feet away from her now. Sarah had a burst of energy, her muscles strained but she managed to keep on running. Now the beast was 20 feet away from her but still gaining momentum. Sarah saw about 13 kids hauling some kind of ice canon. That is when she knew that they had heard her. Then Sarah remembered that she had a 25 foot tall Hecatoncheires chasing her and tried to speed up her running. Unfortunately, she could not. Her feet gave out from under her and she collapsed. Now the monster was about 6 feet away from her and Sarah gave up.
The monster was on top of her now and Sarah felt like she knew she would die.
BOOM! The sound of a cannon blast hit Sarah's eardrums; an ice cannon blast. The next moment Sarah passed out.
