"So," Julian said with a crack in his voice.
"Yes," Sarah retorted, still furious at him without knowing why.
"Do you want to know where your room is?" Julian stated very awkwardly.
He was staring at her and it made Sarah's face turn bright red, almost the same color as her dress.
"You know where that is?" Sarah squeaked.
"Yes you were assigned to my floor," he said, then continued, "that means that I am in charge of you and what happens to you. I am the most senior boy on our floor."
"Oh..." Sarah said thinking that he was very full of himself.
"Only a few kids typically go to my floor. Do you know who your godly parent is Sarah?" he questions.
Then a thought that was not her own slipped into Sarah's mind, "Don't tell him that. Don't tell that boy that you are a child of the underworld!"
She responded with a thought of her own "He will find out eventually."
"Well if I were you, I would prolong that as long as possible." The strange voice responded and Sarah for better or worse, listened to it.
Julian was acting very strange. Maybe it was a good idea not to tell him the truth; or at least not the whole truth.
"I don't know who my godly parent is," Sarah said out loud.
"Do you at least know if it's your mom or dad?" Julian questions her, while leading her up a flight of stairs.
"He is my dad," Sarah said hesitantly.
Then that is when he trapped her. Not physically and not with any malice but Sarah felt like it was an attack.
"Oh... have you met him because sometimes the gods don't always like the other gender. They can change their gender if they wish as well." Julian said with a weird look on his face.
"My mom told me a lot of stories about him and she was pretty sure my dad was a boy," Sarah said. She had convinced herself that she was not lying to Julian, well not exactly a lie. Her mom had told her a lot of stories about her dad but the reason she knew he was a boy was because she had met him. Anyway what was it Julian's business to know whether or not she had two moms or one.
"Ok." Julian said with a crack in his voice.
It surprised Sarah how quickly the boy with a straight face showing no emotion whatsoever who had every second planned out went to a very awkward boy with seemingly no idea what he was doing. Then they turned onto a flight of stars.
That was when they met the girl. She had dark brown curly hair and multi-colored eyes with purple and green streaks in them. They looked timeless. Her skin tone was a dark brown color, and beautiful.
"Hi Julian!" the girl said with a smile on her face.
"Hi..." Julian looked very uncomfortable as he said the word.
"Is this the girl from earlier that you refused to tell me anything about?" the new girl asked Julian.
"Uh Uh." Julian was still at a loss for words. He looked very shaken.
"I do have a name you know," Sarah tried to but into the conversation.
"Well, you had not told my boy..." she paused for a moment as if she had remembered something. "My friend, the last time I had seen him," she continued. Sarah noted a shaken look on the girl's face as well.
Sarah was confused whether this new girl and Julian were dating or did they just break up or what.
"Oh. By the way my name is Zoi," Zoi said to Sarah.
