"What happened?" Mini asked the daycare worker after she rushed here being told she needed to come pick up Harper
"There was a small incident"
"What happened?" Mini demanded again, starting to get frustrated at the no explanation over the phone when they called and now
"Harper bit another child" she stated only causing her to be confused. Harper doesn't bite people, she never has.
"Where is she?"
"In the timeout corner" she said walking that way, Mini following right behind him
"Why is Emily with her if she is in timeout?" Mini asked, noticing Emily sitting next to Harper holding hands
"The only way to calm them both down was if we kept them together" he said
"Harper" mini said
Harper rushing to her mom once she saw her. Mini kneeling to get eye level with her to talk to her but was thrown off by her stoping right in front her
"Emmy has a owie" Harper whispered to her to mom causing mini to look at you but not seeing anything standing out
"Where?"
"Head"
"Come here" mini said to you as you slowly walked towards her
"Can you turn around so I check on your owie?" Mini asked as you looked at her hesitantly
Mini fondly watched as Harper grabbed your hand and guided you closer to her mom
"Look" Harper said holding your hand as mini looked closer, gently moving your hair so she could see the red bump on your head.
"Does it still hurt?" Mini asked causing you to shake your head no
"Okay" mini said turning you around, "you two say here. I'll be right back"
Harper reaching for Mini as you looked at her wit widening eyes
"I just have to talk to your care worker really quick. Why don't you guys play while you wait" Mini said, directing you guys to the blocks near by
Anger filling her since the worker didn't mention you were injured
Taking a deep breath to stay calm around you two, "can you tell me how Emmy got her owie?" Mini asked Harper, knowing you wouldn't speak
"Mean boy hit her with block. I bit him" Harper said with an angry face before looking at you, "I protect you" Harper pulling you in a hug that you softly returned. Mini now understanding why Harper had bit the boy, to defend you.
"I'm proud of you for defending Emmy. But next time we find an adult and tell them, okay?" Mini said causing you two to nod
"You two stay here" Mini said as she went to find the day care worker
"Did you know that Emily was hurt?" She asked causing the care worker
"She's hurt?"
"Yes, the boy Harper bit hit Emily in the head with a block. There is a small bump there. Harper shouldn't have bit the boy but you need to have a talk with him about hitting people" mini said as she care worker started to look embarrassed
"Of course. I'm sorry we didn't catch that"
"Have you contact Emily parents?" Mini asked
"No"
"I'll be picking up Emily with Harper" mini said as care worker nodded
Mini quickly calling Caitlin to explain what happen and to meet them at the ice cream shop a few streets over.
"Let go girls" Mini said, grabbing both of your hands, "We are going to get ice cream." This getting smiles from the two young girls
"Mommy and mama?" You asked looking up at Mini
"They are going to meet us there" mini said causing you to nod then start talking to Harper as you guys walked to the ice cream shop
