You were messing around Emily and Kelley for your water break when you noticed people coming on the field.
You watched as the people made her way onto the field escorted by security.
You started inching towards you backpack that you left on the bench that held all of your essential.
The team always gave you shit for this bag but by the looks of it they are going to figure out why I do it.
"(Y/n), where are you going?" Emily yelled looking over at you confused to why you left, which also caught the people's attention.
You recognized them as the ones that always come searching for when you ran away.
I froze for a second as we just stared at each other, waiting to see what the other would do.
By this point the team were catching on to something happening with you.
"What wrong? You look tense" Julie said looking at you with concern as she also eyed the two men.
However, you were still ignoring everyone. Just watching the two guys.
That's when they made their move to walk over to you. Thinking that since you were in practice that you wouldn't run.
How wrong they were. Before anyone could react, you snatched you backpack and took off running towards the exit, catching everyone off guard.
"(Y/n)" Julie yelled concerned as she chased after you with the help of Christen.
They stop running quickly, realizing how fast you were compared to them. It was one of the reasons you were called up and one of the best midfielders even at 16.
They quickly rushed back to the field to see the two men standing with the team.
"What the hell is going on? Why did she run?" Julie asked confused and concern on her face as she looked at the two men.
"And who are you guys?" Alex asked
The men looked at each other, debating talking to the women. They could have an idea of where the young girl is.
Looking at all the women faces, they could tell that the care for her so they decided to talk.
"We work for social services. (Y/n) ran away from her foster family at the beginning of summer. We recently had it brought to our attention and are tracking her down" the taller one said as everyone's expression changed to shock
"She's a foster kid?" Ash asked, confirming what was told to them as the men nodded
"She has a history of running away and living on the streets, especially during school breaks" the shorter on said
Julie just stared at them in shock. How could the team not know, let alone her. She was considered (Y/n) team mom.
"Did anyone know?" Allie asked looking around as everyone shook there heads no. A look of guilty washing over there faces. They were your teammates for months now and they didn't know.
"Sitting here isn't going to find her. Where do we think she will go" Carli said mainly looking at the ones you were close to
"The city park" Emily said
"The mall" Megan said
"Another soccer field" Tobin said
"Her favorite food places" Lindsey said
"Well let's split up and go looking" Carli said as everyone started going off into groups to leave and look for you.
Julie stood therefore a second thinking over those locations.
"Julie, you coming" Crystal asked looking back at Julie confused
"What are you thinking?" Christen asked
"She likes all those places, but if she was running away again. I don't think she would go there first, I think she would scope out the hotel to get the rest of her things then go" Julie said
"Well you know her the best, so let's go there" Crystal said as the 3 of them quickly made there way back to the hotel.
They spotted you casually hanging out on the street by the hotel.
"You two head to the hotel room, I'll go to her. She will think she is in the clear when she sees you guys" Julie said as the other two nodded and headed towards the entrance
Julie made her way to you, making sure not to be seen.
"Who are we looking for?" Julie said appearing next to you, causing you to jump and go to run again. This time Julie was ready for that and grabbed your arm
"You know, just people" you replied casually as look around to make sure you didn't see the two men
"The social service people" Julie asked as you avoided looking her in the eyes as you nodded
"How'd you know I would come back here?" You asked confused
"I may not know everything about you, but I had a feeling you would come back for the rest of your things before you took off again" Julie said as you blushed because she had just stated what you were doing
"Why didn't you say anything?" Julie ask sadly
"It was my problem. I've dealt with for years and getting away from foster parents is a nice break" you replied looking at your shoes
"Kid, the team is your family. Running away and living on the streets is dangerous. You could have asked any of us for help, especially me" Julie said giving you a sad smile
"Oh" you replied with a blush as you stood there awkwardly
"Come here" Julie said pulling you into a hug which you relaxed into, "you moving in with me, I'm adopting you whether you like it or not" Julie said, she has thought about it the whole ride over.
"What? Are you sure? What about Zach?" You asked shocked and confused as you pulled away
"He doesn't have a choice either, but he won't mind when he learns the situation" Julie said nonchalantly as you just nodded and laughed as she pulled you into another hug
