Kylie Had been jokingly ignoring nelson the entire car ride, nelson continuously poking her left side to try and get her to talk

"kylie, come on, i was kidding !" nelson whined, the poking never stopping. "i didnt mean it, ky ! speak to me" he continued

vivienne parked her car in the malls parking lot, "we're here guys !" she exclaimed, turning the car off and climbing out

the other five teens followed out, all beginning their short walk into the malls enterance. nelson snaked his arm over kylies shoulder, trying to get some kind of reaction out of her

when he received no reaction, he continued to pout, making minnie giggle and move to walk next to kylie. "you should talk to him" she attempted to persuade, nelson instantly nodding in agreement

"ehh I don't know, he did tell me to leave him alone, sooo" kylie jokingly reasoned, making minnie smile as she realized just how long this joke was going to go on. minnie shook her head with a laugh, "you're crazy" minnie told her friend

kylie only smiled evilly, "being related to jake means ive gotten very good at holding a grudge, one time I didn't talk to jake for a month and a half because he beat me in mario kart" she said to minnie, both her and Isaac beginning to laugh

eli turned around since he and vivienne were walking ahead of everyone else. "oh yeah, was jake mad he wasn't invited ? the only reason we didn't was because of rosalie" eli asked as he and vivi fell in pace with the others

kylie shrugged, "I think he was a little hurt that you guys didn't want to hangout with him and rosie but he understood that it wasn't him but his girlfriend" she explained

"wait... aren't you and rosalie best friends?" isaac questioned

"not really, atleast not anymore" kylie shortly spoke, not wanting to talk about rosie anymore or else she'd probably cry about how her best friend ditched her.

vivi slipped in between minnie and kylie, wrapping her arms around both of them ( nelson removing his so she could do so ) and smiled. "forget rosalie, you have us now ! we're like the powerpuff girls" vivienne exclaimed

minnie nodded, "I don't think rosalie liked me anyways" she added quietly making the three giggle to themselves. as the three girls continued to walk together the boys began to follow behind in their own little group of three

nelson spoke first, "I need her to talk to me !" he whined, both ellis brothers sharing a small look. eli chuckled, "you know shes messing with you right ?" he double checked

"well obviously I know that im not an idiot, but im tired of it and I miss talking to her already" nelson nodded, the ellis brothers sharing another look

"okay, I know im short but stop doing that thing where you share looks over my head !" nelson rolled his eyes as they did it once more to get under his skin

isaac broke into laughter, "sorry man" he apologized while continuing to laugh in his hand. eli spoke first, "you like kylie" eli said it as a statement and not a question

nelsons eyes widened as he stared at eli. "what no I don't !" his voice cracked in the middle of his sentence making the brothers share yet another look over nelsons head

"alright im done" nelson walked off towards the girls, overly pissed about the looks over his head. he couldn't believe they thought he liked kylie, they just met that's insane !

isaac and eli jogged up to him again, "we're sorry !" isaac told him, pulling back nelsons shoulder so he had to walk with them

eli nudged nelson. "we'll help you make kylie talk to you, though its kinda pointless since she'll talk to you anyway if you just tell her you wanna talk to her..." he trailed off

"I don't wanna seem desperate" nelson said, knowing both boys were gonna share a look to make him even tenser.

isaac made an 'ehh' sound, "but getting her something to force her to talk to you isn't desperate ?" nelson cut him off "shut up - don't forget you almost fumbled minnie" nelson countered

"key word almost but I pulled through" isaac stood a little taller

nelson thought for something he could do for kylie to talk to him, and that was the only reason why, he definitely didn't wanna just get her a gift for no reason, definitely not...

his thoughts were interrupted by the three girls turning around, "we wanna go in the hello kitty store !" kylie called out to them, as the boys were about twenty paces behind the girls

isaac sent them all a thumbs up, showing they heard them, "go ahead, we're behind you !" he told them, ushering the girls along

the three girls wasted no time, rushing to the store. "that's it !" nelson exclaimed, catching the brothers off guard. "whats it ?" isaac asked

nelson shook his head, "doesn't matter, cmon lets go with the girls" he walked ahead, hurrying to get to the hello kitty store

once the three boys walked in, isaac and eli migrated to find their girlfriends while nelson was on the hunt for kylie. "hey kylie, whatcha lookin at ?" he asked, placing his chin on her shoulder from behind

kylie smiled at the contact, "hi nelson, just some keychains for now" she told him as she flicked through the many options. "do you think that blankets cute ?" she pointed to the one next to them

nelson nodded, "yeah I like it, do you ?" he asked, thinking this was the perfect opportunity

"yeah but its like fifty bucks which is crazy, so im just gonna get some smaller stuff for today" kylie shrugged it off, knowing she only brought thirty dollars . she had completely forgotten to put more money in her wallet

minnie and vivi rushed over, both holding their own stuff they wanted. "you ready ky ?" minnie asked, kylie nodding and grabbing three keychains and paying

soon walking out of the store, nelson quickly stopped. "hold on guys I think I left my phone in there" he bluffed, turning around and rushing towards the store. he was going to buy the blanket for her, even though now there was no point since she was talking to him again

"we should sit and wait for him" kylie pointed to a couch in the middle of the mall, all of them taking a seat and relaxing

as they talked vivi realized, "we need a special nickname for you, ky" she thought out loud, making kylie raise her eyebrows, "umm okay" kylie smiled softly

vivienne and minnie began to brain storm, secretly buying nelson time, knowing exactly what he was doing.  "well jake calls you ky, rosalie says kyky, what about.... whats your middle name ?" vivi asked

"madison"

minnie nodded, "we could call you something from your middle name or we could call you 'lee' like ky-lee" minnie explained

kylie smiled at how much effort her friends were putting in to give her a special nickname. "lee is nice" kylie told them

eli clapped, "lee it is !"

perfect timing as nelson walked over to them, taking a seat next to kylie. "merry christmas" he placed the new bag in her lap

"its june... ?" kylie reminded him, though nelson only shrugged. kylie peeked in the bag, noticing the blanket she wanted. "no you didn't ." she looked at nelson

she turned, giving him a hug. "thank you" she said in his ear, "but I will be paying you back" she told him, as she pulled away

nelson shook his head, "not if I can help it"
