seventeen. a walk

Everyone Had just gotten back from dinner, so now it was around 8:30 at night. the first thing kylie did was get changed out of her uncomfortable jean shorts.

she had taken her second shower today, now she wore black sweatpants and a goosebumps shirt.

luke was currently in the master bathroom shower that all the boys had to share, so kylie was doing him a favor and packing up his clothes from the drawers

she also just needed something to distract her mind so she stayed awake.

kylie knew it was far too early to fall asleep, but if she layed down even for a second, she'd be out like a light.

a knock on her bedroom door is what snapped her out of her thoughts, she assumed it was luke coming in to pack or something

"come in !" she exclaimed, folding another shirt into the suitcase

nelson walked through the bedroom door, taking a seat on the bed. "hey kylie" he began awkwardly

the girl sent him a small smile while continuing to pack for luke. he hadn't asked her to do this, nor did he know she was doing it, but she just wanted to feel helpful, so she did it for him

"do you wanna go on a walk with me ?" he asked her, scratching the back of his neck

kylie nodded, putting the final shirt in lukes suitcase before zipping it up and placing it on the floor. "sure" she agreed

the sun was setting, so she planned to sit out on the balcony and watch it but a walk was basically the same thing

she slipped on her yeezy slides and followed nelson out of her room. "we're going on a walk, niles" nelson told him, grabbing a key card from the dining table

niles looked up from his phone with a knowing smirk. "can I come ?" he asked teasingly. niles didn't actually want to go on a walk, he just wanted to see what excuse nelson came up with for him to not go

nelson glared at niles, knowing exactly what he was doing. "maybe next time, you still need to shower" nelson shrugged, it was the best he could come up with on the spot.

niles rolled his eyes at the lame excuse, "yeah okay"

now that niles was off his back, nelson intertwined his and kylies hands, beginning to lead her towards the front door

"oh, niles, tell luke we're on a walk, okay ?" kylie turned around, receiving a thumbs up from niles.

once the two made it out of the building, their walk down the sidewalk began. "so, where we heading ?" she asked him, swinging their intertwined hands back and forth

nelson pointed ahead of them, "just to the park" he told her

kylie nodded, they fell into a comfortable silence as they took the short walk to the small park.

it didn't take long to get there, and when they did kylie wasted no time in walking to the swings, taking a seat on one

she knew that nelson wanted to talk, she just didn't know about what. whenever they went on walks it was because nelson wanted to talk.

"I need to talk to you..." nelson began as he took a seat on the swing next to kylie

kylie instantly noticed the seriousness in his tone and got anxious, "whats up ?" she asked, ushering him to continue
