Shannon West had taken kylie and luke to the grocery store with her, they had just dropped jake off at his practice and she needed a few things

this second stop wasnt very voluntary for either siblings, but nonetheless, they didnt care. it was something to do since summer was about to end

it was clear kylie wasnt dressed to go out, wearing some of jakes basketball shorts and a random black t-shirt she had found in the back of her closet

during this little over a month period that kylie was single, she had changed her hair from her blonde chunky highlights to blue and blonde streaks in the front

this change was a spur of the moment decision, said change also came with an eyebrow piercing kylie is still shocked her mom allowed her to get and also a nose piercing

lets just say... kylie looked different, in a really really good type of way. and she felt better than she had in awhile

it was safe to say kylie wasnt over nelson, and she knew she wouldnt be for a long time. they only lasted a week, who knows what they couldve been

kylie always thought of 'what if' rosalie hadnt snuck into her room and taken her phone, ending her entire relationship

but that was something kylie would never find out, because sadly, she couldnt turn back time to change things

the girl obviously still had her days, where all she did was miss nelson, but she hadnt had one in about a week

"kylie, captain crunch or frosted flakes ?" luke asked, holding both options in his hands while turning towards her

lukes words snapped kylie out of her thoughts, so she barely heard the question. "oh um... frosted flakes is fine" she shrugged

as if the world was out to get her, these were the next words kylie heard from her mother; "oh my gosh, cassie, hi !"

cassie... shannon only knew one cassie, and kylie really didnt want to see said cassie.

but of course, it was that cassie. "hey shannon ! so good to see you, its been forever !" cassie smiled widely, pulling shannon in for a hug

kylie finally glanced up from the floor, expecting to only see cassie, but along with that were her two younger sons

niles and nelson.

luke also noticed them, and his eyes were trained on kylie. she hadnt seen him in over a month and luke was concerned on how she would react

nelson hadnt realized it was kylie at first, she looked different. she had changed her hair and since kylie had her head down, nelson hadnt see her face until now.

the two held strong eye contact, both stunned by seeing each other again. nelson immediately went to say something- anything, just to talk to her

but before he could kylie spoke up, "im gonna use the bathroom" she said just loud enough that they all could hear her

kylie didnt stick around for any response, simply turning on her heels and speed walking away. her heart was beating a thousand beats per minute

nelson looked so good, his same curly hair and braces, but he got taller and his style improved.

once she reached the bathroom, she shoved the door open and stood infront of the line of sinks, staring at herself in the mirror

luckily no one was in there with her, so kylie was alone to regulate her breathing. she ran her hands through her hair
