When Kylie and shannon arrived home at around 5:30, the pit in kylies stomach only got worse.

the two hadnt gone out to dinner with the neumanns to celebrate niles win, kylie had lost her appetite as soon as jake texted her

kylie rushed to her room, hoping her brother wouldnt even notice she was home, and maybe wouldnt want to 'talk to her' anymore.

once she opened her bedroom door, she jumped at the sight of jake sitting on her bed with his arms crossed and a pissed expression on his face

"how long have you been sitting there ?" kylie asked him, trying not to let her voice shake in anxiousness

jake ignored the question with a small eye roll, "are you and nelson dating ?" he cut to the chase, taking kylie by suprise

she knew there was no point in lying anymore, jake already knew, he just wanted to hear her say it. "yes, me and nelson are dating." she confirmed

the veins in jakes wrist popped out, anger coursing through him. "how long ?" he asked her, his voice laced with rage and bitterness

"only a week." kylie tried to stand her ground. maybe he wouldnt be as angry now that he knew it hadnt been a very long time

she was wrong though.

jake stood up with a scoff, "whatever, kylie. you knew my friends were off limits." jake said as he pushed past kylie, leaving her room

kylie let out a sigh, shutting her bedroom door and leaning back against it. that wasnt as terrible as it could have gone, jake didnt force her to break up with him, maybe he just needed time to understand

as badly as she wanted to text nelson how everything went, kylie knew he was out at dinner with his family and didnt want to bother him

so she decided to change into some comfier clothes and lay in her bed, putting on criminal minds.

against her own will, kylies eyes fluttered shut. soon enough pebbles crawled over and cuddled up to the sleeping girl

At The same time of kylie falling asleep, jake was in his room on facetime with rosalie, asking her for any advice she had

"her hiding it from you is so messed up, baby ! you dont deserve that" rosalie told him, using a slight baby voice while talking

jake sighed, his conscience was telling him he was in the wrong and his sister deserved happiness with nelson, but rosalie was convincing him otherwise.

he told rosalie how he really felt, "i dont know, i mean we kinda hid it from her too... how is this any different ?" he reasoned

rosalie almost looked offended by the comparison. "baby, no ! we hid our relationship because we didnt want to hurt kel- kylie. she hid it from you to be spiteful towards our relationship"

"thats not true, kylie wouldnt do that to me" jake disagreed, shaking his head.

"jake, who do you trust more ? me, your loving girlfriend who always tells you the truth, or your lying sister who is out to get our relationship"

jake sighed, "you" he answered, his tone untruthful and full of doubt.

rosalie smiled at his answer, clearly satisfied. "so let me come over and spend the night, ill... take your mind off of things" she smirked
