Kylie West along with everyone else had just arrived at the school where niles would be playing

it was for his summer aau team, leading up to the championship, so there was only one game.

nelson had driven with kylie and shannon as they drove behind the neumanns car, they were following them to the location

as the two split groups rejoined as one, kylie nudged niles with her arm. "you excited to play ?" she asked him

niles nodded with a small smile, "yeah, thanks for coming by the way" he thanked her, not only for coming but also for getting nelson there

kylie knew what he was actually thanking her for so she nodded, "of course, niles" she responded

nelson had begun moving in a pace so that he could slow down and meet kylie, once he did so he intertwined their fingers together

"im excited to be here, ive only ever been to luke and jakes games" kylie told nelson, who smiled at this fact

he couldnt help the next cheesy words out of his mouth, "well im glad, your first other game is with me" nelson smiled

kylie nodded in agreement, leaning closer into him as they walked. "yeah, me too"

they had completely forgotten that they're relationship was a secret, too entranced in their love for each other

unbeknownst to them someone near them in the parking lot snapped a picture of them and their intertwined fingers, sending it to jake on insta

it took them about fifteen minutes to get into niles game, so niles quickly jogged away from his family and onto the court with his team

"good luck, niles !" kylie called out as he got to his teams bench. he looked over at them quickly, giving her a small smile before returning to his team

nelson tugged kylie by their intertwined hands to follow his parents and kylies mom over to the bleachers where they had to sit

once they were seated, kylie felt her stomach grumble hungrily. so she leaned over, whispering in nelsons ear, "we should ask to get dinner after this, im so hungry"

her boyfriend nodded in instant agreement, he had been pretty hungry himself, having woken up late he had missed breakfast and barely had any lunch

"definitely, we'll ask after the game" nelson said. kylie left their short conversation at that, deciding to take a glance around her.

she saw a lot of teenage boys, like a lot of them. aswell as many mothers and fathers to cheer them on, also plenty of yelling and cheering as there were other games going on

kylie got distracted from her thoughts by nelson nudging her side, "hm ?" she hummed, looking over at him to see what he needed

nelson held out her phone that he had been holding in his pocket for her, "your phone started going off like crazy, its from jake" nelson told her

"oh my gosh" kylie mumbled to herself, taking her phone from nelson with a soft smile towards him, unlocking it with face id to see what jake wants

Kylie Sighed shutting her phone off, putting it on do not disturb and tucking it into her jean shorts back pocket.

"everything okay ?" nelson asked, though he had been peaking over her shoulder the entire time she texted so he knew what was going on

she shrugged, her elbows being held up on her knees as kylie rubbed her temples to soothe the anxiety and anger bubbling inside of her

of course jake had to get sent something, just her fucking luck. now jake would be on her ass about every move she made

kylie hid her hands in her face, nelson rubbing her back to try and help her calm down. "he definitely knows now. i know he knows, i can feel it." kylie told her boyfriend

nelson bit his lip, not knowing what to say or do in this situation. whenever kylie had a gut feeling, nine times out of ten her gut was right.

"this is so bad, nelson." were the only words kylie could muster right now. she was mentally freaking out.

she couldnt lie, kylie did feel a little stupid freaking out this much over her brother finding out about kylie dating nelson

but the thing with jake was, when he didnt want something, he made sure it didnt happen.

when jake was eight and kylie was six, one of his friends called her cute, so kylie gave him some of her gummy bears

somehow jake found out later that day, he gave his friend some expired chocolate milk just so he'd throw up the gummy bears

that was how jake reacted to someone calling kylie cute when she was six, now shes fifteen, and jakes just gotten even more protective.

"im sure it'll be fine, ma. jake knows me, he knows id never hurt you" nelson hoped, deep down he was nervous too

kylie took a deep breath, "this isn't important right now. we are at niles game and we are gonna focus and cheer him on" she decided

then kylie wiped her mind clean of the negative outcomes for when she got home, right now all that mattered was niles and the basketball game infront of her.
