Kylie West and nelson neumann sat in kylies backyard. the two had been hanging out for a little over ten minutes now

it was extremely awkward. neither of them knew what to say or how to break the silence, so every minute or so there would be a couple of sentences

like right now, when kylie spoke up. "hows basketball going ?" she asked, splitting a crack in the silence

nelson glanced over at her, but once he caught her gaze his eyes fell back to the backyard infront of them. "good, good"

there was the silence again. it was beginning to get annoying, but neither of them knew how to prevent it.

eventually nelson got aggravated by the silence and spoke up, "niles told me that luke said you didnt want to break up with me, but you texted me. so im confused" nelson confessed

kylie let out a long breath, "i wasnt the one who texted you." she shortly told him, looking at her hands

nelson stared at the side of kylies head in confusion, "what do you mean ?" he asked, hoping she'd offer some further explanation

"rosalie snuck into my room in the middle of the night and texted you- for whatever reason -and by the time i woke up and tried to text you that it wasnt me, you had already blocked me" kylie explained

nelson blinked silently, very surprised by this new information. "so... you didnt wanna break up with me ?" he double checked

kylie nodded, "yep, never did... still wish it never happened but, i cant turn back time so" she shrugged

the two fell back into a silence as kylie waited for nelson to say something, anything. "why would rosalie do that ?" nelson questioned

"not sure. at first i thought it was jake so i completely stopped talking to him until he told me it was rosalie and broke up with her, then i punched her" kylie went into further detail

nelson chuckled quietly, shaking his head as he did so. "of course you did" his words made kylie begin to laugh aswell

after they finished laughing, kylie glanced over at him. "so we cool ?" she asked him, mentally preparing if he said no

"of course we're cool, idiot" he jokingly told her, nudging her side to get kylie to look at him. "im glad you got to tell me the truth"

kylie nodded, "yeah me too" she agreed, bringing one of her knees to her chest and resting her cheek on it. "i really missed you, nelson"

nelson sent her a small smile, "i missed you more than you know" he responded, letting the eye contact linger

the girl chose to break the eye contact by standing up, holding her hand out for nelson to grab. "cmon, im gonna kick your ass in basketball" she told him

the curly head raised his eyebrows, a large small taking over his face as he accepted her hand. "oh yeah ?" he questioned

it felt so good to hold his hand again.

he walked into niles room as soon as he got home, "im in love with her again." nelson straight up told niles as he landed on his younger brothers bed

niles raised his eyebrows at his older brothers words, "im assuming you guys made up ?" niles guessed
