It's been one month since Cynthia died and I still have dreams about it. It still wakes me up at night and haunts me. I not only dream of Cynthia now, but I dream of them. Of Andy and the rest of them.
"Arin?", Bailey whispered at my doorway. I sat up and looked at her.
"Yeah?"
"There's somebody in my room", She whispered. I stood up as quickly as I could, grabbed her and put her in my closet.
"You keep these doors closed until I say so. Do you understand me?"
She had tears running down her cheeks and her hair was stuck to her cheeks. I pushed it behind her ears and kissed her head.
"Wait, I'm scared", She hiccuped. I gave her the teddy bear that was I my bed and she hugged it.
"I love you, Bailey"
I closed my closet door and grabbed Barry's knife. I closed my door and tiptoed into Bailey's room. I saw the green hood and I automatically knew that I would be in prison after I was done with him, but prison is much better than Lakewood.
They were looking through stacks of paper on Bailey's desk. I tiptoed over to them until I was standing behind them. I stood on my tiptoes and put the knife to their neck.
"The only thing you'll find in this house is your death wish", I whispered.
They put their hands up and before I knew it, they grabbed my wrist and had me pinned to the ground with the knife up to my throat. I looked into their eyes and felt fear rise throughout my entire body. My hands were pinned with one of his hands. I could see clearly the body type was a male. It only scared me more. I parted my lips and let out what I thought would be my last breath. They looked up at the clock on Bailey's desk, dropped the knife and put their hand on my face. I flinched and jerked my head away. They just put their hand back. It somehow felt gentle and familiar.
"So beautiful", He whispered.
"You're sick", I spat at him and suddenly felt more rage than sadness."You tried to kill my best friends", I squirmed underneath him and tried to arch my body and make him fall off of me, but he wouldn't budge."I can't wait till the day you rot in-"
He lifted his mask and kissed me. I winced and shook my head.
"I'm so sorry", He whispered and stood up. I tried to grab his ankle and trip him, but he was gone before I could. I stood up, grabbed Barry's knife, locked the window and went back into my room. I opened the closet door and she screamed, then stopped when she saw me. She ran out and hugged me. I hugged her back tightly and kissed her cheek.
"It was just a leprechaun", I said.
"B-but I'm wearing green"
"Yes, but this leprechaun just wanted me. Cause I'm not wearing green", I smiled slyly at her."I gave him a good talking to. He won't be bothering you anytime soon, okay?"
"Can I sleep with you?", She hiccuped and rubbed her eyes. I nodded and picked her up. I closed my door and locked it, then my windows.
"I will be right back, okay?"
She nodded and laid on my bed. I walked into the bathroom and scrubbed my lips off with soap and water. It tasted terrible, but it was better than the feeling of murderer on my lips.
I washed my face and stared at my reflection until I knew I wasn't going to cry. I needed to stop doing that, because crying will get me nowhere.
I walked back out, grabbed my phone and walked back into my bathroom. I called Barry.
