"Just climb up that tree, and go into Dalton's room. He'll keep you safe tonight, and do not go anywhere tomorrow. Not school, not even home. It's not safe"
I leaned over the seat and hugged him."Thank you, Tommy. For everything"
He hugged me back and nodded."Be safe. I'll see you sometime in the near future I hope"
"Where are you going?"
"If I told you, it would no longer be a secret location"
I smiled and nodded at him."Please be safe"
"Stop staling and go"
I nodded and got out of the car. It was dark outside, due to the amount of time we had to stay, to make sure no one was around when we left.
I ran over to the tree and started to climb the branches. I gave Tommy a thumbs up when I was at the top and he drove away. I looked it and cursed under my breath when I saw him sleeping. I felt like a stalker. I put my hands on the glass and pushed it up until I could get the rest up from the bottom. I climbed in through the open window and closed it as quietly as I could. I walked over and shook his arm slightly. I shook his a little harder when he didn't wake up.
"Dalton", I whispered. He rubbed his eyes and looked up at me.
"Rain?", He pulled me to him by my arm and hugged me tightly. I hugged him back and closed my eyes."How did you get out?", He asked once we pulled away.
"A knife", I said."And Tommy"
"Tommy was there? Is he okay? Did anything happen to him?"
I shook my head."No, he's okay"
"You have no idea how worried I was about you"
"How's your leg?", I asked.
"Barry took care of it, I'm fine"
"How about Dane?"
"He's fine. He's at home and he's safe"
"What happened to him?"
"They cut his arm really deep. He lost a lot of blood, but he's okay"
I hugged him again and smiled to myself."Dalton, I thought they were going to kill you"
"How do you think I felt?"
I caressed his cheek and smiled."We're both okay. That's all that matters"
He let me go and moved over. I took off the jacket and sighed.
"Dalton, I have some guy's blood on me"
"Use one of my shirt", He shrugged.
"Where are they?", I asked.
"Top drawer", He gestured over to his dresser."I'd get it for you, but I'm temporarily crippled"
I smiled at him and rolled my eyes. I walked over to his dresser and opened the top drawer. I picked up one of his shirts and found a gun under it. I picked it up and turned around, holding it up to him.
"You can never be too prepared", He said. I smiled and told him not to look. He put his face in his pillow as I changed out of my clothes and put his black shirt on. I walked over to his bed and laid next to him. He looked over at me and I traced my fingers over the four scars on his cheek that Rosie gave him.
"Did you tell Barry?", He asked.
I shook my head."I was planing on doing that earlier, but I was too busy trying to escape with head still intact"
