Chapter 32

"Are you ready?", Barry asked, putting his gun in his waistband.

I nodded."I am so much more than ready"

He nodded at me and we both ran downstairs and to his car.

"Put this on", He handed me a green hoodie and a white mask. I put on the hoodie and waited to put the mask on.

"You okay?", He asked. I nodded in reply. He parked his car behind a tree, next to another one that looked at lot like my brothers. Barry put his jacket on and zipped it up.

"What?", He asked.

"Is Dane here?", I asked. Barry sighed.

"I called him. We need as much help as we can get"

I saw my brother step out of his car, followed by Tommy.

"Barry, I didn't want them involved", I said.

"That's too bad, because we desperately need their help"

"He's my brother", Tommy said."I don't want to hear any of your bullshit right now, Rain. He's in there getting tortured, and God knows what else. We need to go"

I gulped and started walking towards the house. I put my hair up and put the mask on, then my hood. I let Tommy and Barry walk ahead of me, so I could catch up with Dane.

"I can't stand being around him", Dane whispered.

"Just ignore it. Think about how Dalton is having the time of his life instead", I said sarcastically.

"Right..", He mumbled.

We stood behind Tommy as he nocked on the door twice, once, then twice again. It opened a few seconds later.

"Take 'em off", The man said, pointing to Tommy's mask.

"I'm afraid I can't have that", He grabbed the mans arms and smacked his head against against the man's hard. The man fell on the floor. And Tommy stepped over him, followed by the rest of us.

"We have to make sure everything is clear downstairs", Tommy whispered."Rain, you go upstairs and we'll check downstairs"

"What? No", Barry shook his head."Not alone"

"I'll be okay"

"No. I can't let you got up there by yourself"

"Why not?", I asked. It wasn't a problem before. Why should it be a problem now?

"Because. You'll get yourself killed"

"Goddamn it. I'm not as stupid as you think I am"

"No. You're not. But I don't want to risk it"

"I you two could take a moment and stop all this heart-to-heart bullshit, I need to get my brother out of here and hopefully in one piece. That's not going to happen is you keep talking about it"

Barry to turned to me."Promise me you'll be back with Dalton alive"

"I swear", I said. He nodded and I started walking upstairs. I passed by one person and they nodded at me. I nodded back and felt my stomach twist.
