As soon as I clicked on his profile, I looked into the face of a handsome young man with blond hair and feminine features. His eyes looked big, reminiscent of a shy deer, but his laugh was mischievous. He seemed to have just started the stream, because it had only been on for a minute and twenty seconds. He probably hadn't even noticed the spiteful comments on my channel, but had just left his post and left.
"Welcome," he greeted the growing number of viewers and I was amazed at how quickly it went up. "Here's your friendly neighborhood ghost."
I had to grin.
His voice brought back memories I couldn't place. It was deep but gentle and it was pleasant to listen to. I could understand why many tuned in to watch his stream. His smile was also quite infectious, which made it hard for me to understand how he could make such a depressing comment just a few minutes ago.
"What are we playing today?" said the blonde streamer with a grin, tapping his lower lip thoughtfully with his index finger. "We're starting with the Resident Evil remake. Later, Terry and Kai will join us for a round of Warzone."
Oh, so he played horror video games.
Not exactly my thing, but for some reason I didn't want to switch off.
I was interested to know who 'ghostlychoi' was.
Maybe it said a lot about his character that his headphones had two big, round, plush bobbles on them that looked a lot like bear ears. And in a way, I could see the resemblance. He also seemed like a person who liked to make others laugh and the comments were completely wild. His gameplay started to become engaging right from the start as he skillfully navigated the dark corridors of Resident Evil. His commentary was entertaining and full of wit, and it wasn't long before I was engrossed in the stream. Although horror games like this always threw me completely off track. There were plenty of times when I got scared, flinched or let out a startled scream.
During a short breather, in which Ghostlychoi refreshed his ammunition and saved his score, he took the opportunity to have a look at the chat.
"Hey, ghostlychoi, how did you come up with that name?" I finally ventured into the chat and typed my question.
