I was sitting at my computer studying the latest horror games, trying to set up a program to entertain my viewers in the next stream.

When suddenly the unexpected ringing at my front door broke the silence.

I was startled and turned my gaze from the screen towards the kitchen, where the front door was located.

I had barely made a sound, so there was no way anyone was there to complain.

The computer screen cast flickering shadows on my nervous hands as I slowly stood up and moved towards the door. A feeling of unease spread as I approached the peephole. My eyes narrowed as I took in the person outside.

"Oh, shit!" I cursed loud enough for the person outside to hear and dropped straight into a crouch as if to hide. My heart was pounding so hard and loud that I clutched my chest. My breath caught and this time it wasn't even the fault of one of the zombies. Because that thing outside my front door wasn't a zombie, quite the opposite. There was something outside my door that put any horror game to shame.

I didn't know whether this was a long-standing wish come true or whether I was being plagued by my biggest nightmare. All I was sure of was that I couldn't press my head against the wood of the door any longer.

"G-go away!" I shouted through the barrier to my visitor, because I wasn't thinking of opening the door for him.

"Beomgyu, I just want to talk to you," the voice came through the door, causing a dry throat. I had only heard this voice from the speakers of my smartphone or PC for years. It was surreal, completely confusing.

Why was he standing outside my door? On the carpet rug that said 'Please don't knock on my door'.

I looked through the peephole again.

Why?

Why Choi Yeonjun?

What had I done in my life that ...

"No, I..." I started, when I heard the door next door being pulled open and the disgusting leaking of my neighbor. Instinctively - and because I didn't want Yeonjun to turn into dessert himself - I pulled the door open, reached outside blindly and grabbed something. With a strong tug, I dragged Yeonjun into the apartment and slammed the door shut. "Why...!" I hissed, turning to face him, but when I caught a glimpse of his face, the word 'one' rang out in my head and I turned away from Yeonjun so quickly that my forehead thundered against the peephole. "Ahhh," I whimpered, placing both palms on the wood at head level.
