Sacrifice (Ashley's Route)

"I'll go with Ashley. You may be armed, but I would feel less anxious if I go with you." You confessed already making your way over to the stairs.

"Thank you, Y/n. I appreciate it." Andrew followed you close behind, his intent being to see his two girls out.

Ashley on the other hand had a weary expression plastered over her soft features. She didn't argue about you coming along with her, but deep down her anxiety over the possibility that her brother could be sweet-talked into betraying you two kept her tensed.

The three of you walked up the steps and over to the front door, Andrew went in to give you the keys to the car and held onto your hand, staring you down.

"Please be careful...And please take care of this dumbass for me, will you?"  He asked of you, earning a quick smack on the shoulder as Ashley pouted and walked down the steps of the front porch before making a sarcastic remark.

"Aren't we always?" 

"Y/n is. When are you ever?"

Her brother's response made her giggle as she started to walk towards the direction where you had parked the car.

"See you later~!" She cheered gleefully. You couldn't help but let out your own smile on how adorable these two are. 
You looked back at Andrew, his hand still gripping your own. 

"We'll be back soon." You reassured him with your eyes as well as tightening your hold on his hand before letting go to follow Ashley.
Andrew wasn't too keen on letting the two of you go on your own in the middle of the night. But then again, he knows very well that you can take care of yourself, and there's no doubt in his mind that you will protect Ashley no matter what. So without any second thoughts, he headed back inside and closed the front door.

You quickly caught up with Ashley as she happily skipped her way towards the vehicle. You didn't waste any time as you unlocked the doors and the two of you got in. Ashley in the passenger's seat while you took the job to drive.
You started the engine and backed up the car, slowly making your way up the main road and driving carefully as to avoid getting unwanted attention.

The drive was oddly quiet as there weren't many cars on the road at this hour, it almost felt like it was only you and Ashley in this world...
You looked at the corner of your eye to see Ashley was blankly staring at the radio as she switched between channels, she seemed to be distraught.

"A penny for your thoughts?" You spoke up, snapping her out of her trance like state as she looked back to you and smiled. She let go of the radio as it landed on classic 70s rock, it set quite a relaxing mood. 

"Hah! Make it a soda and you got a deal." She joked as you laughed with her.

"You know that I'll get you whatever you want~...But you seem a bit down, is everything alright?"

You asked, heading straight to the point. Her small laughs slowly faded away as she seemed to have gone back to her train of thoughts.

"You don't think...that Andy will betray us, do you?"

"What? Of course not! Why do you think that?"

"You know how chicken-shit he is. That old hag knows how to get into his head. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if she's trying to talk him out of everything right now, since we're gone."

You stayed silent for a brief moment, you totally understand were this distrust is coming from. But deep down, your heart is telling you that everything will be okay, and right now you need to reassure her that it will be that way.

"Just have faith in him, Ley. He loves you more than anything else...you know that right?"

You told her, letting one hand off the steering wheel to rest on her thigh as to ease the remaining anxiety she had left. She smiled at your touch as she rested her on palm on top, slightly gripping it as your affection always seemed to calm her down.

"I know...Hehehe~ You love me as much as him, don't you?"

She smirked as devious ideas started crossing her mind. You were caught off guard with her question as you blushed profusely.

"Of course I love you, Ley. I would--Whoa Whooa WHOA! What are you doing???!!"

You got dressed yourself and squeezed your way back to the driver's seat, grabbing a cigarette and lighting it to puff out the cancer inducing smoke. 

Ashley got back in the car with a bunch of cash in her hands.

"Ready when you are!" She cunningly cheered as you started the car and started driving your way back to the house.
