This is an unusual story for me, and as you read, you'll see why. It also has a different pace and build.
Please note that I intentionally do not specify religion, ethnicity or culture in this story -- it's not necessary to know the details EXCEPT to provide the parameters for this story in a general sense. If you're going to get frustrated by the parameters within which this story takes place and just start commenting that "she should just divorce him," please skip this story because it's definitely not for you. It's about much more than that.
I'd also ask that you not make assumptions about this couple, or make negative, derogatory comments about their situation or circumstances. You might not be right in your assumptions and might very well offend. We need to be sensitive to and respect all people and the choices they make and the reasons they make them.
