"you didn't go through
all that for nothing."

"MORNING MRS. MOSKOWITZ." Silas greets the woman, giving her a small wave as she opens her front door. He lifts up the bag of bagels he had in his hand. "I brought breakfast for you and Eli. Do you mind if I—?"

"Of course, sweetheart." She motions for him to go into the house, closing the door behind him. "Thank you so much for what you're doing. For all of it. Eli wouldn't get through this without you. He wouldn't even talk to me if it wasn't for you."

"Anytime." Silas smiles, handing her, her bagel. "Eli and I have been through rough times these past couple of years, but when it comes down to it, I'll always be there for him."

It was Silas's weakness. He would never ever stop caring about Eli.

"He hasn't been the same without you." Mrs. Moskowitz rubs Silas's shoulder. "I know what you guys have been through has been probably life changing. You don't have to do this, so thank you."

"No thanks necessary." Silas waves her off, grabbing his and Eli's bagel. "I'm going to take this to him."

"Yes, please. He hasn't eaten since he woke up this morning."

With a sigh, Silas made his way towards Eli's room. He remembered exactly where it was. He remembered everything about that house. It was haunting, but it also made him miss the old times. When everything was normal and he had an actual family.

After getting no answer from knocking on the door twice, Silas opens the room door and his eyes immediately fall on Eli. He was lying on his side in his bed, eyes on the laptop ahead of him with tears in his red eyes. Most likely from crying all night.

"Y-You didn't have to come." Eli breaks the silence as he sits up against his head board, his overly red eyes now on Silas. "Robby is probably going to hate you for this and I don't want to be the reason your relationship gets ruined."

"Don't worry about Robby and you won't be the reason this relationship goes down hill." Silas walks over to him, taking his place next to him on his bed. He places Eli's bagel on his lap. "Now, eat, please."

"I can't." Eli shakes his head, fiddling with the strings on his hoodie. "I-I feel disgusted. Thinking about it makes me sick to my stomach, Si."

Silas felt his heart clench at Eli's words. "You can't let this make you hide away or not eat—."

"It's just so embarrassing." Eli huffs. "Everyone knows what happened. They're going to look at me differently. I ruined everything I had going. I talked a big game and proved that I was an asshole. To Miguel, to Moon, to Demetri...and to you. Especially you. It was all well deserved."

"No, stop." Silas says sternly. "You do not get to turn this around and start blaming yourself. This is not karma or anything like that. It was bunch a dumbass kids deciding to take advantage of you at a weak point. You may have done some stupid shit, but what you're saying doesn't excuse what they did."
