season six, prologue:

SILAS HAD ALWAYS felt like an outsider in his own family. Every time he looked at his parents, a wave of resentment and pain washed over him. The memories of them sending his boyfriend to jail without even hearing his side of the story haunted him.

It started it all.

It was as if they were determined to believe the worst about him, no matter what he did. They constantly went after him, criticizing and punishing him for things that were often beyond his control.

His little brother, Anthony, was also a victim of their neglect. Silas often found himself playing the role of both brother and parent, trying to shield Anthony from the emotional turmoil that their parents' indifference caused.

Meanwhile, their sister, Sam, was treated like a princess. She received all the love, attention, and resources that Silas and Anthony were denied. It was a painful contrast that only deepened Silas's sense of isolation and hurt.

Despite all this, Silas knew he needed to confront his parents. He couldn't keep living in the past, letting the pain and anger consume him. It was tearing him apart, and he desperately wanted to move forward with his life. He knew it would take time to forgive them, but he had to start somewhere.

Confronting them was the first step in his journey toward healing and finding peace.

Silas felt a mixture of dread and determination as he prepared to talk to his parents. He knew it wouldn't be easy, and he wasn't sure how they would react. But he also knew that he couldn't keep carrying this burden alone.

He needed to let them know how much they had hurt him and how much he needed to heal. It was a daunting task, but he was ready to face it head-on.

Silas hoped that the conversation would be the catalyst for his healing.

He envisioned a moment where he could finally lay all his cards on the table, where his parents would truly listen to him for the first time. He yearned for a moment of clarity, where they would see the pain they had caused and understand the deep scars they had left on his heart.

Silas imagined a dialogue filled with raw honesty, where he could express the anguish of watching his boyfriend sent to jail, the constant feeling of being hunted within his own home, and the deep-seated neglect he and Anthony had endured.

He dreamed of a future where he could leave all the drama and pain behind, a life where the shadows of his past no longer haunted him.

Silas hoped that by confronting his parents, he could start to untangle the web of hurt and betrayal that had ensnared him for so long. He wanted to move forward, to build a life that was no longer defined by the trauma of his teenage years.

He imagined waking up each day without the weight of resentment pressing down on him, finally free to pursue his dreams and find happiness.

Silas longed for a life that would finally be easy on him. He hoped that this conversation would be the beginning of a new chapter, one where he could rebuild his relationship with his parents, and maybe even find a sense of family that he had never truly known.

He wanted to believe that forgiveness was possible, that healing could happen, and that he could finally find peace. It was a daunting hope, but it was the light that guided him through the darkness, pushing him to take that first, courageous step toward a better future.

BUT, Silas should know by now that his life always seems to take a turn in the most unexpected ways. No matter how much he plans or tries to control it, fate has a way of throwing him into situations he never anticipated.

Whether it's a sudden twist of events, an unforeseen challenge, or a surprise encounter.

Each time he thinks he has a handle on things, life reminds him that it's full of surprises...
