SILAS FIDGETED IN HIS seat, his leg rapidly shaking up and down as he bit his thumbnail, glancing around the darkened room. Nerves set into his stomach and doubt started to fill into his mind. Should he even be here right now?A loud buzzer, echoes through the room, the sound breaking him out of his thoughts. He doesn't dare glance up. Not yet. He keeps his eyes on the old metal table. Even with his eyes adverted, he could feel the piercing eyes on him and he tenses a bit. He was starting to regret coming here.
"I was wondering when I'd see you."
"I was wondering if you actually did what they're saying you did." Silas leans forward, his hands resting on the cold table intertwined.
Hurt flashes in Kreese's eyes. "You know me, kid. You know I would never do something like this."
"I just—I know." Silas sighs out, finally glancing up to meet his father figure's eyes, seeing him in the light blue jumpsuit, made a shiver run down his spine. "I know. I just don't understand how'd you end up in here. I don't get it."
"Silver." Kreese answers, jaw clenching in anger. "He set me up. He set us up. He knew this was going to be the only way to get rid of me and to leave you out there alone, where he could try to control you."
Silas bites the inside of his cheek as he shakes his head. "That's never going to happen. I'm not going back. H-He manipulated me. He tried to turn me into someone I'm not. He could gladly fuck off. He's already taken you from me. What more could he want?"
"You. He just wants you back on his side. That's all he ever truly wanted." Kreese gritted his teeth together. "Talk to me. Tell me how you've been."
"I don't even know where to begin." Silas releases a humorless chuckle. "You know, I thought after the tournament everything was supposed to turn out okay. I wanted to fight so bad and show Daniel that I was truly worth something, but I failed. I failed everyone. I should've never taken those pills because if I didn't then maybe I would have the chance to fight again. Maybe I would feel like I have control of my life. But I don't. At least I feel like I don't. I mean, I fucking ran away. I'm sorry I disappointed you. I never wanted—."
"You didn't disappoint me. You never can disappoint me." Kreese interrupts him, his cuffed right hand, reaching to grab Silas's. "You know, before I got locked up in here, I was the one who first found out you were missing. I was panicked, until I found your letter. You needed to find yourself again, Silas. You still do and no one blames you for that. You've lost so much. You do what you have to do in order to find yourself again. No one is going to hold that against you. Stay away from Cobra Kai. It's going to get worse."
Silas took his words in and he nods stiffly before a small smile making its way onto his lips. "You know, I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but I've missed you, old man."
For the first time in a while, Kreese lets out a laugh. "I would've thought you liked having the house to yourself."
"Trust me, I do. I don't have to hear your loud snoring anymore. On that note, maybe Silver was looking out for me."
"You thought that was funny?"
