SILAS ENTERS THE room, and the atmosphere immediately shifted. The room was filled with his friends, their eyes glued to him, creating an almost suffocating tension. The gazes were a mix of concern and apprehension, making Silas's heart race uncontrollably. He tried to calm himself, swallowing hard and taking a deep breath before speaking.
"What's going on?" He asks, his voice shaky and barely audible.
The silence that followed was heavy, almost oppressive, as no one seemed willing to break it.
The door suddenly burst open, and Johnny strode in with Miguel, Kenny, and Anthony trailing behind him. Johnny's eyes quickly found Silas, his expression shifting to one of confusion and concern as he took in the scene.
"What crawled up everyone's butts?" Johnny's voice was loud and clear, cutting through the silence like a knife.
Daniel finally spoke up, his voice carrying the weight of the news he was about to deliver. "Silver is back. He's working with the Iron Dragons. He never even stepped foot into prison."
The words hit Silas like a punch to the gut. Silver, the man who had ruined his life, was back.
Memories of betrayal and pain flooded Silas's mind, his heart pounding with a mix of fear and anger.
Desperation crept into Silas's voice as he looked at his father, seeking answers. "Did Kreese know?"
He could see the hesitation in Daniel's eyes, the reluctance to reveal the truth. The room seemed to close in on him, the weight of everyone's stares pressing down on him.
"Please." Silas's voice broke, pleading for the truth. "Did he know?"
Daniel's response was heavy with regret. "Yes, but it's not what you think—."
But Silas didn't wait to hear the rest. He let go of Robby's hand and pushes past Johnny, rushing out of the room.
His breathing became erratic, his chest tightening as panic set in. His vision blurred, and he leaned against the wall, trying to steady himself. His breaths were short and sharp, his hands trembling uncontrollably.
After a few moments, he managed to calm his breathing, but the anger inside him was like a raging fire.
He stumbles into the elevator, each second feeling like an eternity. The dim lights flickered, casting eerie shadows that mirrored his turbulent thoughts.
The hum of the elevator was deafening in the silence, each floor passing agonizingly slow. His mind raced with memories of Silver, the betrayal, the pain, and the relentless torment.
As the elevator doors slid open, Silas steps out into the hallway, his footsteps echoing in the empty corridor. The walls seemed to close in on him, each step heavy with the weight of his emotions.
His heart pounds in his chest, a relentless drumbeat of anger and betrayal. He approaches his room, the familiar surroundings now feeling alien and suffocating.
Kreese was already there, waiting like a shadow from his darkest nightmares. Kreese's posture was rigid, his eyes dark and unreadable, a stark contrast to the turmoil raging within Silas.
"Kreese." Silas spat, his voice dripping with venom. The mere sight of him made Silas's blood boil, his anger a living thing clawing at his insides. "You knew, didn't you?"
Kreese's expression remained unchanged, his gaze steady and unyielding as he met Silas's eyes. "Si, there's more to this than you understand."
Silas's hands clench into fists, his knuckles white with the effort to contain his fury. "I don't want to hear your excuses. Not anymore. You betrayed me. You betrayed all of us."
