"Going somewhere?" she asked me.
I couldn't speak or even form what I wanted to say, but I could talk after what felt like a moment.
"Uh, yes, one of your servants told me you wanted to see me," I said and asked simultaneously.
Her cocked brow slightly lowered.
"Yes, you are correct." The queen said.
"Okay, what did you want to see me for?" I asked.
She looked at me momentarily and noticed a slight hint of uncertainty in her eyes. This confused me because royals, such as queens and kings, were supposed to be strong-minded and confident physically and physiologically.
She then started to walk away, which confused me until she spoke.
"Walk with me," she said, and I instantly complied. However, this reminded me of a movie when someone powerful wanted to walk, including talking with someone completely different. I was figuring out what I was about to do by following the queen of this kingdom of Hexian.
I could not catch up with her because she was walking at a pace that was struggling for me, but after noticing her pace, I could catch up with her.
"So, you're the one who fell from the sky, correct?" she asked, looking down at me slightly.
"Yes," I answered respectfully, sternly, yet seriously.
"And what is your mission, or should I say the reason for being here?" she asked, noticing that her tone was a little sterner and more curious.
I looked at her, confused.
"Reason, no, I don't and didn't have a reason to be here. I came here unexpectedly."
"Unexpectedly?" she asked, repeating the word I used.
"Yes, that is correct; I came here accidentally, and I don't remember what caused my ship to crash or even come across your world in the first place," I explained.
"You cannot remember what caused your ship to crash?"
"Yes," I said
"Hmmm," she said, taking a moment to absorb what I told her.
"Why can't you remember?"
"That's the situation to a possible solution," I said.
"Avira, which I assume you already knew, was going to help me somehow recover my past experiences so I could figure out why my ship crashed into your world or what caused it to crash."
"And does it have to do with the cylinder contraption that my subjects have recovered?"
I nodded to her again.
"And you were in that contraption; what is it, if you don't mind me asking?"
Confused by the last part he said in her sentence, I answered her question.
"Not at all; it's called an escape pod."
She looked at me for a moment, slightly slowing her pace so I could take the time to walk and talk simultaneously without realizing that I was losing pace with the queen.
"What is an escape pod, if may I ask?" the queen asked, looking at me with a slight hint of curiosity.
"It's a miniature space vehicle for emergency evacuations," I explained. I wasn't sure if that made sense to her, but to my surprise, she seemed to understand, nodded, and muttered, "Interesting."
We walked for a bit in silence, enjoying the peacefulness.
That's when we entered the small center of what looked to be a tree, but instead of the roots of greens, it was roots of purple leaves, a similar plant design to that of lavender plants back on Earth.
The queen seemed to notice this and slightly leaned in to speak with me with more direct height and eye contact.
"That plant has been in this kingdom for many generations," the queen explained.
I approached it and noticed a few anthro female bees in white and golden robes. They were speaking in their Hexian language, but I could still understand what each of them was saying.
I watched them sitting and speaking to one another, hoping they wouldn't notice my presence, but that was soon cut off when the queen came up to my left side. At that moment, the anthro bees in the white and golden colored cloaks stopped what they were doing and went to their queen, and even some of them noticed me. I didn't feel that comfortable with their eyes slightly drawn between me and their queen.
"Is it just me, or does every creature I meet have to stare at me?" I thought inside of my head.
Before anything else could happen, I felt a hand on the right side of my shoulder, and I slightly looked up to see the queen gently putting pressure on my shoulder in a reassuring gesture. I wasn't sure why she was acting this way and giving me this kind of gesture, but I ignored it and looked up at her. She glanced at me with a reassuring smile and then turned her gaze at the cloaked anthro honeybees, and I also looked back at them.
Instead of looking at their queen, they seemed more intrigued by looking at me. I saw the curiosity in their eyes, and I slightly took a step back, unsure of what was going on or what was happening between them and me.
I noticed they were slightly shorter than the queen, but they were taller than me, and that was what scared me. I wasn't sure what was going on.
"Ahem." I looked up to the queen and the cloaked anthro honey bees. They seemed to notice a stern look on the queen's face, and they bowed their heads down slightly, backing away from me. That's when I felt her hand press against my chest in what gesture was protective. "Why is she suddenly acting so protective of me?" I thought, confused by her unexpected actions.
I thought, and mostly assumed, that she was disgusted with what I was and what I looked like, but her actions said otherwise.
To be continued.
