Quickly yet quietly, I could find the switch without looking at the weapon in my hand and switching it to safety off. I ran my index and thumb with my open right-hand free hand while on the tree to find the available switch to activate repeat shoot.
I got ready to take my chance to shoot my opponent, which I assumed would be my attacker.
But after a moment of hearing the steps from the sound of the tall grass brushing through, the sound of what I assumed was the dragon anthro being stopped where it stood, and after a brief moment of 1 minute of waiting, I perked up to see that the dragon being wasn't there, confused where it was and where it went.
I didn't want to do anything other than get out of the area and figure out what caused the ship to go down, and I had a plan.
If Adam Armada had known what had happened, they could have sent an emergency extraction team to rescue them.
But what scared me more was that there was life on this planet, and I wasn't sure if there were more intelligent life forms on this foreign planet other than dragon-like beings.
But I let the thought of that go for now.
I needed to get the emergency escape pod supplier bag and equipment out of the pod to make my journey to where I needed to go, where the pod of Adam Armada was.
I needed to get there as soon as possible before something terrible happened to him.
Quickly but quietly, I rushed over to my escape pod, but I still had my hand on the revolver just in case one of the dragon-like beings came after me or might attacked me.
After switching it to safety on the tall grass ground, I set the revolver on the elevated grass ground.
Once i was outside from the door area of my escape post, I pulled out the equipment and the emergency bag that was included with the escape pod.
Once I got all of it out from the pod, I checked to find one of the cameras from the pod. Checking the exterior parts of it, he saw that was built in the side of the outside part of the escape pod was completely burned and destroyed from the entry through the atmosphere.
But after I returned to the pod, I could see it was on the side of the miniature computer screen. I opened one of the panels containing the hard drive with the data of where the brutal videos of the recording were collected in the drive.
And the only way I could see the video was to use a Tri-USB plug-in and out port.
The emergency bags had one, and I could hook it up to the pod finder because it's able to function through the Escapes pods functionality of the pods.
Once I got the drive out, I put it in the emergency pod bag, which looked like a duffel bag and could zip it up in one of the outside pouches from the emergency duffel bag.
But when I assumed nobody or nothing was watching me, I grabbed my gear and checked myself to see if I got everything before I headed on to find the other pod.
Grabbing the revolver back from the ground, I clipped it to the belt strap of my suit.
When I turned and headed away from the shrapnel, I didn't realize that the dragon that stood on the pieces of the ship was watching and another dragon anthro being that was wearing a similar armor.
One of them was about to jump at me, but the anthro dragon halted it from jumping at me and growled at it.
They watched as I walked, and once, I was not to be seen from the other parts of the tall grass.
"Flame, you fool! What are you doing?! You're letting it get away!" The anthro dragon is snarled and speaking in a feminine voice.
Flame, the one that held the one back from attacking the being considered a new encounter, looked at where it was going and turned to the one that wanted to shoot it.
"Patience, Vie, I may know where it's going," Flame said, her tone solid yet calm and mellow tone in her voice.
"Should we notify the Queen about this?" Vie asked, sounding a bit hopeful.
Flame looked from Vie to the encounter that was continuing to walk
"Not yet, not until we know what is happening, and besides, you know how busy she is. She is trying to solve and deal with this situation herself." Flame said.
To be continued
