Adam's POV

I followed Avira through the honeycomb-colored walls of the palace in the royal area, and we were planning to leave.

Still, I wasn't sure how long it would last, which is why I had my bag with me, but I wasn't sure if leaving the escape pod with them was a logical and safe decision for them to fiddle with.

But I needed to focus on what was happening right now.

However, my concern about the other species that were the alien-like snakes that called themselves Viterrians that lived in the sand lands and were planning something reckless that had to do with the escape pod and their kind, which I assumed was the eastern regions of the world and imagined was similar to earth; theirs a desert called the Sahara desert, that which I thought and presumed was identical to the one here on this world, on Quanterria.

But in the sand lands, they called their homeland Viterria.

I needed clarification as to why they used the terms Terria or Terrian.

Based on what I understood, the definition of a word and its term is its meaning: Terrian is the definition of land or territory, but Terria also refers to the saying of the words spelled as Tierra, which is the noun of Earth and also land.

Continuing to think, I was interrupted when Avira stopped at a concert and assumed when she was looking around that concern that we stopped around where the exit and the way out were where we could leave the place and head to the deeper parts of the city of Hexterria.

I thought this would be easier for her, but when I looked at the hesitation on her face, her brows slightly furrowed, and her eyes squinted somewhat simultaneously.

"What's wrong?"

She looked over at me, seemed to see my confused look, and spoke.

"They're wearing Hexium."

I was giving her a straight face, unsure of what she was saying and what she was referring to.

"Is that like some kind of element?"

"A metallic element, to be precise," Avira said, her tone worried some.

"And what's so worrisome about it, though?"

"Certain people sued it for craftsmanship, and it is a scarce metal that is commonly found here in Hexterria, but in most places, other kinds of species in the world are mining in hopes of finding this metal that we conceal, and it is the strongest metal on Quanterria."

"But the queen, my mother... keeps a strict and prudent portion of this element and gives it to the other royals in hopes for them to use it for their protection and safety."

"So, it's like the concept of Vibranium from the MCU of the black panther." I thought.

And yet Avira tilted her head at me in confusion.

I noticed this and shook my head, waving my hand dismissively.

"Never mind, but that still doesn't answer my question. Why are you worried or concerned about that?"

"It blocks certain types of quantum sources of power, and most definitely, the guards will not be able to be affected by my abilities because of the armor they wear," Avira said, shortly explaining the backbones in hopes of helping me understand.
