AUTHOR'S P.O.V

Skye climbed off her bed. She was starving. She hadn't eaten after she'd come home from school. How could she? She'd lost her appetite watching Tatia and Acio behave like lovebirds. It annoyed her. Besides wasn't Acio crushing on Lisa?

And what the hell did she care if they were lovers? They could do whatever they wished, she didn't give a damn!

The living room was dark as she sneaked into the kitchen. She switched on the kitchen light and went straight to the fridge. She grabbed a tub of ice-cream and fetched a spoon.

Ice-cream in hand, she rushed to switch of the lights when someone chuckled. She froze then turned slowly.

Seated in the kitchen was Acio, staring at her with amusement. She saw his mocking grin and it made her furious.

How long had he been there? He must've been there the whole time and she hadn't noticed!

“I was hungry.” She growled.

“I haven't said anything.” He reasoned ad the corners of his mouth turned up into a smile.

“Are you laughing at me?” Skye demanded, eyes blazing with anger.

Acio waved his hand. “Not at all. I was just wondering why you'd sneak into the kitchen for food? It's your house. Oh I know! You didn't want to be called a glutton.”

Skye's frowned, getting angrier. “Am not a glutton!”

“Yes I know.” He said and burst out laughing.

Frustrated and unable to tolerate his annoying self any longer, she opened the ice-cream, scooped some and aimed it at him.

It missed him. Acio laughed harder. She cussed and threw another. Missed. The more she missed the angrier she became.

How dare he call her a glutton! How dare he kiss her then tell her it hadn't been good! How dare he flirt with Tatia!

Tears welled up in her eyes. Damn him! He made her so angry. The ice-cream was done. She threw the spoon at him. He ducked. She cursed, and began to search frantically for something to throw but was blinded by tears.

Acio walked towards her and embraced her. She fought uselessly against him before giving in, clinging to him as she cried.

Exhausted and unable to shed anymore tears, she pushed him away from her.

“I'm going to bed!” She announced defiantly and turned to leave.

Acio grabbed onto her arm, halting her. He swung her around to face him.

“I'm sorry.”

“For what?” She grated with driven impatience.

“You know.” He said, exasperated.

She said nothing, just continued to watch him. He gritted his teeth in irritation.

“Fine! The kiss was good dammit!”

Skye's eyes widened but still said nothing. She snatched her arm from his hold and walked out of the kitchen.
