“Really? He's all she ever talks about?” Skye questioned.
Stephan nodded. “She's nuts for him. She comes to me for tips on guys. What guys love in girls, what they like to eat, signs their into girls and whatever she wants to know. She's obsessed with him.”
Skye looked surprised. She knew how much Tatia liked Acio but she thought it was some silly crush she'd eventually grow out of.
Stephan laughed. “Our conversations are mostly centered on him. Acio is amazing. Acio is this, he's that... Ugh....It gets tiring you know, when he's all she ever talks about. She just can't shut up about him.”
Skye nodded and glanced at Acio who was busy talking to Reed. Acio was good-looking and charming. Why wouldn't Tatia be obsessed with him?
“Well Acio is a decent guy.” She said, her eyes still on him.
Stephan watched her closely. “Perhaps. Explains why he gets along with Boss the way he does.”
He watched his boss and Acio and felt a pang of jealousy. Boss was unique and cool, at least that's what he thought. He'd always wished to have that kind of relationship with but his fear of him wouldn't allow it. The man was almost heartless and unpredictable.
He looked at Acio and frowned in thought. How wasn't he intimidated by Boss? He sighed, a little envious. The guy wasn't lacking in the looks department but as always Boss snatched the title of 'The Most Handsome Man'.
He had thought no woman would be good enough for his heart of stone boss until he met Miss Valerie. He couldn't have found anyone who fit perfectly with Boss.
The younger miss of the Kingsleys wasn't bad. He'd been crushing on her ever since he met in the parking lot but she seemed to be taken with Acio. She didn't tell him that but he wasn't a fool neither was he blind. He glared at Acio. The guy was such a lucky bastard.
“Excuse me, I've got a bet to win.” Skye said. Stephan, curious, followed her as she made her way to where Reed stood with Acio.
She tapped Acio on the shoulder. He turned. He looked at her then at Stephan, who was glowering at him. Acio frowned, wondering what he'd done to offend the guy. The man looked like he'd murder him in an instant.
“Move. I need to settle a few things with my soon-to-be brother-in-law. You know, to set a few things straight.”
She glared at Acio as she spoke and he grinned, reminded of their bet.
Valerie stared at her sister, intrigued, wondering what Skye was up to.
“I'm elated you're marrying my sister. I mean you should consider yourself lucky.” She told Reed who just watched her with amusement.
Skye smirked. “But if you hurt her in anyway, I won't spare you. Give her any trouble and I'll make you wish you'd never met Skye Kingsley.” She threatened.
“Sure.” Reed replied, earning surprised looks.
Skye smiled, pleased. The guy was afraid of her threat. Good, good. Her yet to be brother-in-law wasn't so bad. She turned to Acio with a gloating look to which he smirked, confusing her. She'd won the bet hadn't she? She'd put Reed Lanchester in his place. The guy was trying to mess with her. She was about to speak when Reed did.
