Neil was sitting on the floor of his room not knowing what to do? His Minnu hated him. She was accusing him of ruining her life. He closed his eyes and caressed his head with his fingers as he was now having headache. The thought in itself was unbearable. He looked at the clock it was almost midnight now. He realised he was sitting there from few hours now. He suddenly remembered about Mini. She had gone out of the house and had not returned since then. Neil stood up up and rushed out of the house worrying for Mini.

Neil came out and he sighed in relief when he found Mini sitting on the swing in their lawn. He went near her. "Minnu, come inside its very late and its getting very cold here. You will fall sick." Neil said as he placed a hand on Mini's shoulder. She jerked away his hand, "Don't touch me. Why do you keep touching me? I don't like it." Mini replied angrily. Neil's heart broke down once again at her rude words. He wanted to say so many things but decided to let it go for now. "Ok, fine. I wont touch you if you don't like. But please come inside. Its really late. You should sleep now otherwise you will catch cold." Neil advised.

"Why you are so worried for me? Tumhe kya farak padta hai mujhe kuch bhi ho....agar meri itni fikar hoti toh mujhse yun bina meri marzi ke shadi nahi karte." Mini taunted. Neil felt like there is no air to breathe suddenly. His Minnu blaming him for everything. "Minnu, I am sorry. I really didn't know that you were not ready for this marriage. And mujhe farak padta hai...kyunki tum karo ya na karo lekin main tumse bahut pyar karta hoon. Mujhe tumhari fikar hai. Please andar chalo." Neil requested.

Mini just shook her head in no. Neil sighed dejectedly. He gathered up courage and with great difficulty he could manage to speak, "Ok, if you hate me so much than I will not force you to stay in this marriage. I want your happiness. If you want, then we can file for the .....annulment of the marriage and..... you can go...go... back to your home." Neil managed to say somehow even though it was hurting like hell.

"What do you think? My father would welcome me back so easily and happily? He was too obliged to say no to your proposal and when I will return back like this...he will get heart attack I am sure. And Naeem bi? She will scold me for eternity." Mini answered. "Then what do you want me to do?" Neil asked now frustrated at everything. "Nothing, I want you to do nothing. Just leave me alone." Mini replied back. "That I cant do. I cant leave you here like this. Please come inside Minnu." Neil requested. Mini looked at him. Though she wanted to argue further but she saw genuine concern for her in his eyes. She stood up quietly and started going inside. Neil followed her.

They came inside their room. "If there is no other option for you then cant you give this marriage a chance? I understand you don't love me but please try to not hate me at least. We can be friends if not husband and wife." Neil asked hopefully. Mini saw in his eyes. The pain was clearly visible. The fact that he offered to break this marriage in spite of claiming that he loves her, just for her happiness had touched her heart somewhere and she realized he is not like everyone else who just throw their decision on her face and expect she will follow it without questioning. She averted her eyes immediately. She didn't know why but she didn't like seeing him in that state. His request, his pleading tone pulled some strings in her heart and even though she wanted to fight with him but couldn't. She just nodded her head in yes and after a long time a small smile graced Neil's lips. "Thank God! All is not lost. There still a hope in their relationship." He sent silent prayer to God.

"Thank you Minnu. Come sleep now. Its already very late. "Neil said. "I don't want to share bed with you." Mini replied getting nervous again thinking about the physical proximity. "But I wont fit on the couch and If maa or anyone else will come to know that I slept in other room then they will not like it and will say all sorts of things. And trust me, I will not touch you against your wish" Neil explained. "But...." Mini opened her mouth again to argue and Neil read her hesitation. "Ok, you sleep on bed I'll take extra mattress and sleep on the floor." Saying that, Neil took out extra mattress and made a temporary bed for himself. When Mini was sure that he slept off she finally came on bed lied down. "Ok, may be he is not that bad and may be we can become friends also like he said." She thought and dozed off.
