A M E L I A

MY NOSE felt calm when it smelled the beautiful smell of our sweet breakfast. Shaira cooked for the two of us and here i am, sitting and waiting just as she said.

"Here you go, asawa ko.." my chef wife said with a smile.

"Aww! All of this seems so good!"

i could see the pain living in her eyes.

She placed our meal at the table and the expression on her face was bothersome though i could feel that she's doing her best to act calm and fine.

Later, i'm going to need my air support and we're going to pack our things and leave to go back in paris tommorow. The things are at its endpoint. Worse than the worsest.

Looking in the mirror is a nightmare and thinking of the things that will happen after this hurts me. hurts everyone.

"Wife?" i got back to my senses when she called me.

"Hm? Oh-- yeah, let's eat."

We ate but we're both silent. I feel like we're both mourning at eachother silently.

"I.. love it"

she smiled bittersweet. "salamat, asawa ko."

__

"Wife,"

"Hm?"

"Binisita ko kanina yung checklist ko ng mga wishes mo..."

I stopped.

We're walking hand in hand today here in the seaside. Watching the peaceful ocean waves and lets the water touch our bare feet.

"Oh.." i smiled. "Maybe you should delete that na.."

"Kahit i-delete ko pa 'to, hindi ko rin naman 'to malilimutan.."

A tear escaped but i hid it away.

"Well...then.."

"--jetski tayo?"

My whole face brightened.

"Sure!"

__

"Weeeeeheeeeeeeeee!!"

The water splashes feels so nice as i scream my lungs out in happiness here behind shaira's back. The sun is scorching but we don't mind.

I closed my eyes as the breeze flee through our skin. She's driving the ski fast and riding this with her feels surreal.

This is one of the best feeling i had. The feeling that gave me an escape from my darkest thoughts.

Hearing her laugh as i scream is a blessing. It's so beautiful like a symphony.

And just like not thinking about the sea monsters below us, our thoughts was drifted away. Only thinking about the crystal blue water and colorful fishes.
