We are so close yet so far,we were in parallel universe never meeting each other but what if God after so many years led us to a different path what if.....
The morning felt off. I couldn't shake this uneasy feeling, a mix of nervousness and shallow breaths. It was the kind of tension that made my chest tight, like I couldn’t quite breathe properly. It was because of today—after all the years of hard work, today was the day I’d finally know the result. October 17th had been marked on my calendar for so long, and now, here I was.
The event kicked off in the evening, and fans were buzzing with excitement for shows like We Are L and Only Boo, but for me, it was all a blur. Backstage, my hands started sweating. I could see the trailer playing on the screen in front of me, and outside, the fans were going wild. Then, we went on stage. Don’t ask me what happened next; I barely remember it.
After the Kidnap trailer dropped, fans went crazy—but not in the way I’d hoped. Their attention shifted to Ohm, surprised to see him working in BL. They weren’t expecting that, and the hate started pouring in. It was expected, sure, but it didn’t make it any easier. I could handle the hate aimed at me, but Ohm’s hate was something else. He’d never promised to stop doing BL, yet there it was—more hate, more trending hashtags on Twitter and TikTok.
Ohm's POV:
After the event, we wandered around, meeting people and catching up with friends like Gemini and Prom. I could tell they were surprised to see me in the BL world, but honestly, the most important thing at that moment was making sure Leng felt comfortable. His attention seemed fixed on one thing, so I followed his gaze, and for a second, I felt numb. Then, Leng cleared his throat.
"He really looks great in person," Leng said.
"Yeah," I replied.
"Miss him still, right?" Leng asked.
"How can you not miss your best friend and soulmate? Even if he left me... he left me with scars that will never heal."
"Okay, let's not talk about this," Leng cut in.
"Yeah, you're right," I said. "Let’s stay positive. Should I get you a drink?"
"Yeah, sure."
I handed him the drink, and we fell into an easy silence. But not for long. We started talking about random things—anything that came to mind. We danced, and for once, we were just being ourselves. The energy was electric. People watched us, but we didn’t care. We were having fun, and Leng seemed more comfortable now—maybe the drink helped, but I liked seeing him smile like that.
He was the one who got me to laugh again. Because of him, I started acting like a maniac, carefree and happy, just like when I was twelve. I realized I was acting like Q—his character—in real life. It made me laugh even more.
And then it hit me: no one can stop you from enjoying life. It’s yours to live. But there's one thing that makes it better: having someone like Leng in your life to make you smile like a maniac. If you find that person, you’ve won.
"Should we leave?" I asked him.
"Yeah, let’s go meet P'tha and then head out."
We stopped by P'tha’s place, took some selfies, and then made our way out.
"Should I drop you off, Ohm?" Leng asked.
"Why? I’ve got my bike," I replied.
"I know, but it’s 1 AM. You shouldn’t be riding at this hour."
"Are you worried about me?" I teased.
"Of course I am."
I smiled. "Don’t worry. I’ll be fine. I’ll text you when I get home. You take care too, and text me."
"Yeah. Goodnight. Take care. Love—ah, I mean, I love your car."
I grinned. "Yeah, yeah. Bye."
With that, we went our separate ways.
