Ohm couldn’t sit still. The thought of someone else confessing to Leng first was enough to drive him mad. He paced his room, muttering ideas to himself, each one sounding worse than the last.
“I’ll just tell him I like him... No, that’s boring. Maybe a grand gesture? Ugh, that’s so cringy...”
Frustrated, he ran his hands through his hair. Words weren’t his strong suit, and planning? Even worse. Then, a not-so-brilliant idea struck him—Thai.
Sure, his little brother was an absolute pain, but he was also annoyingly good at figuring people out. With newfound determination, Ohm marched to Thai’s room and pounded on the door.
Knock! Knock!
“WHO THE HELL IS IT?” Thai’s irritated voice shot through the door.
“Open up, asswipe!” Ohm shouted back.
A moment later, the door swung open to reveal Thai, hair sticking up like a bird’s nest and a murderous glare on his face.
“What do you want?” Thai growled. “I was having a very peaceful nap.”
“Do you do anything besides sleep?” Ohm shot back, pushing his way into the room.
“Why are you even here?” Thai asked, slumping onto his bed. “Let me guess—you messed up, and now you need me to save your sorry ass.”
“Oh, shut up. I’m here because I need advice,” Ohm admitted, crossing his arms.
Thai snorted. “Advice? From me? Oh, this should be good. What is it?”
Ohm hesitated for a moment, then took a deep breath. “I like Leng.”
Thai stared at him, unimpressed. “Seriously? You woke me up for this? Everyone already knows you like Leng, dumbass.”
“Wait—what?!” Ohm sputtered. “How does everyone know?”
“Because it’s obvious. The only person who doesn’t see it is you,” Thai said, rolling his eyes. “Now, unless you’ve got something new to say, I’m going back to sleep.”
“Wait, wait!” Ohm stopped him. “I want to propose to him.”
Thai froze mid-yawn, then burst out laughing. “You? Propose? This is gold.”
“I’m serious!” Ohm snapped, his face red with frustration.
“Alright, alright,” Thai said, wiping a fake tear from his eye. “Let’s hear it. What’s the problem?”
“I don’t know how to do it,” Ohm admitted, slumping into a chair.
Thai looked at him like he’d just grown a second head. “And you came to me? A guy who has never been in a relationship?”
“Please, Thai. Help me out this one time, and I’ll find you the hottest girl in town,” Ohm promised desperately.
Thai smirked. “Now we’re talking. Fine, I’ll help. But only because you’re pathetic.”
“Gee, thanks,” Ohm muttered.
“First of all,” Thai said, straightening up, “just tell him how you feel. Be honest. Say how much you like him, how much he means to you, and how you can’t imagine life without him.”
“Easy for you to say,” Ohm grumbled. “I’m not good with words.”
“Then don’t. Just stand there and cry like a loser,” Thai shot back.
“Wow, you’re so helpful,” Ohm said sarcastically. “Where do you think I should propose?”
Thai tapped his chin, pretending to think. “In the bathroom. Hand him a toothbrush while you’re at it.”
Ohm threw a pillow at him. “Be serious!”
“Alright, alright,” Thai said, dodging the pillow. “Take him somewhere meaningful. Like a nice café or the place where it all started for you two.”
Ohm paused, a memory flashing in his mind. A smile crept onto his face. He knew exactly where to go.
“Thanks, Thai. You’re not as useless as you look,” Ohm said, getting up to leave.
“Wait, where are you taking him?” Thai called after him.
Ohm glanced back with a grin. “To the place where our real story began.”
Thai shook his head, muttering, “Idiot. If this works, it’s all thanks to me.”
