Ohm’s POV

As Leng moved in to stay at my house, I felt so relieved. I could take care of him properly, and his dogs were with his younger sister since his weak immune system made it hard for him to run after them. I was glad I could help him, but now that he’s rejoined GMM, I’m worried again. I know he’ll face hate because of me. Wait—what did I just think? Baby? No, no, no! That slipped out because I’ve been taking care of him so much. I pamper him, that’s all. He’s like my son! I’m his… daddy—OHM, STOP IT. YOU’RE LOSING YOUR MIND. SHUT UP!

“Someone’s daydreaming, huh?” Thai’s voice interrupted my spiral. “Man, he’s living with you, and you’re still missing him? Seriously, tell me what exactly you’re missing.” He gave me that smug look.

“Don’t you have your own life? Why can’t you stay quiet for one day? Go away! I don’t want to see your face!”

“Wow,” Thai said dramatically. “Nowadays, people get angry just because they hear the truth. The world’s turning bad, God help us.”

Without thinking, I kicked him.

“AHHHH!” Thai yelled, clutching his butt. “Are you my real brother or a stepbrother? Even stepbrothers aren’t this mean!”

“You started it; I ended it. That’s the rule. Now leave!” I growled.

“Okay, okay, I’m going. I won’t disturb your privacy,” he said, backing away. Then, with a sly grin, he added, “Should I send Leng in so you can start—wait, no, I’m going. No slippers, I swear! But… can I ask one question, please?”

“What?” I snapped.

“Do you need any kind of product? Like protection? You know, to take care of him?”

“THAI! Before I kill you, GET OUT!” I yelled, chasing him out. “You’re only alive because you’re my brother!”

As I tried to calm myself, Leng came out of the bedroom.

“Are you okay? Why were you screaming like that?” he asked, concerned.

“Thai,” I muttered through gritted teeth. “He really tests my patience. I can’t believe he’s my brother.”

Leng chuckled. “He’s your brother. You should understand. And yeah, little siblings can be annoying, but he loves you a lot. Anyway, do you need some water?”

“Yeah, thanks,” I said as he handed me a glass.

“I should be the one taking care of you, but here you are,” I said softly.

Before Leng could respond, Thai popped his head back in. “I’m sorry, P’Ohm, P’Leng. I didn’t mean to interrupt you two. I have to meet a friend, so I’m heading out. Sorry for invading your privacy!”

“What are you even talking about?” Leng asked, confused. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”

Thai grinned. “I mean, you were talking about ‘taking care.’ But I’m sorry anyway.”

“THAI!” I groaned. “If you want something, just say it. Don’t tease Leng! I can handle it, but don’t make him uncomfortable. Do you want money, a car, clothes? Just spit it out!”

“I already took your keys,” Thai admitted with a sheepish smile. “So I don’t need anything. Bye-bye! Love you both!”

“See? He won’t change,” I sighed. “I’m worried he’ll never get a girlfriend.”

Leng smiled. “He’s handsome; I’m sure he’ll find someone. Honestly, he’s so cute that he might already have a girlfriend.”

“Him? Cute?” I scoffed. “Thai and cute don’t belong in the same sentence. Just thinking about it makes me want to vomit.”

“If I had a brother like him, I’d treat him like treasure,” Leng said with a grin.

“Take him, then. No returns,” I joked.

“Deal,” he laughed.

“By the way, you have an event tomorrow, right?” I asked.

“Yeah, yeah,” Leng replied. “I better get going. I need to sleep. You too—good night.”

“Good night,” I said, adding softly, “Love you.”

“WHAT?” Leng turned to me, wide-eyed.

“What? I said I love you. Who wouldn’t love such a cutie?”

“O-Okay,” he stammered, before retreating to his room.
