Third Person POV:
Xavier rushed to his car as soon as he finished reading the letter. For some reason, he was unable to call Sylvia.
"Faster!" he urged the driver, cursing at the stupid traffic in front of him. He tried calling Luna too, but yet again, his calls weren't going through.
As soon as he reached the mall, he heard a gun shot. At that moment, the mall became a battle ground. Hundreds of people running and screaming for their life.
Quickly, Xavier ran into the mall in search for his wife and his sister in law. He found himself lost, unable to decide which direction to go in.
In a hurry, he chose to run in a random direction, now reaching the second floor of the mall. From there, he successfully spotted his wife.
But before he could do anything, a second gun shot was sounded. Xavier stood there, watching the bullet pierce through his wife's stomach.
He snapped himself out of his trance, running downstairs to his wife. Luna too was panicking; Sylvia now passed out in her arms.
"LUNA!" Xavier shouted as soon as reached closer to them. Luna's head shot up, a sob leaving her lips as she spotted her brother in law.
Xavier quickly crouched down beside Luna, pulling her into a side hug as his other hand worked on checking Sylvia's pulse. It was faint, but it was there.
"Luna, listen to me" he said firmly, cupping Luna's cheeks and making her look at him, "We need to get Sylvia to a hospital. So get up, and be brave. Be brave for her."
She nodded, wiping her tears with the back of her hand. Xavier picked Sylvia up in his arms and started running towards the exit; Luna right behind him.
They quickly settled in his car, now heading to the hospital. "W-Will she be o-okay?" Luna asked, looking at Sylvia worriedly.
"She'll be just fine" Xavier said, eyes stuck on his wife. He wondered if those words calmed Luna or not, because he himself didn't believe them.
The moment they reached the hospital, Xavier grabbed the doctors to check on his wife. Luna stayed at the reception, deciding to finally call her brother.
Sylvia was rushed to the operation theatre since the bullet was still in her. Xavier barely contained himself from going in with the doctors.
Max on the other, was completely unaware of this situation. He happily received his sister's call, greeting her calmly.
But the moment Luna explained the whole situation to him, he felt his world shatter. His wife, his precious darling......was shot?
He didn't waste another second in leaving his office and heading to the hospital. He called his parents on the way there, telling them to inform the others too.
He reached the hospital in around 30 minutes, finding his younger sister still at the gate. "Luna" he called, pulling her into a hug.
"M-Max, she's in o-operation" Luna sobbed, clutching his shirt for dear life. Max gently picked her up, before rushing to the OT.
"Xavier" he called, grabbing his husband's attention. Xavier, who had sat on the chair outside the OT, snapped his head up; his eyes meeting his husband's.
His strong facade immediately broke as he became aware of his beloved's presence. Max put Luna down, before rushing over to him.
"What happened?" Max asked, grabbing Xavier by his shoulders and demanding answers. Xavier immediately pulled him into a hug.
