Sylvia's POV:

"You see that? That little dot thing?" the doctor pointed at a small circle on the screen, "That's your baby."

I smile subconsciously, feeling tingles in my body. My baby.

"Is it healthy?" Xavier asked, his hold on my hand tightening. "Very. Your baby is developing quite nicely" the doctor replied.

"We can have these pictures right?" I asked. "Of course" she nodded. I pulled my shirt down again, and Xavier helped me sit up.

"Let's go show these pictures to Max" I said excitedly. Xavier smiled, nodding.

We got the ultrasound scans, and we rushed to Max's room. "Hi my love" I kissed his forehead, sitting beside him.

"We did an ultrasound today. The baby is healthy. I hope you open your eyes soon so that I can show you these scans" I said.

The doctor said that talking to him can help in his recovery.

"Sylvia" Xavier said, placing a hand on my head and rubbing it up and down. "Yeah?" I asked.

"I have some work. Will you be okay?" he asked. "Yeah sure. Just come as soon as you can" I nodded. Xavier pecked my forehead and walked out.

Just then, Luna entered. "Hello baby mama" she said, squeezing me in a tight hug from the back, "How'd the ultrasound go?"

"I have scans. You wanna see?" I asked. She squealed excitedly, "Yes!"

Luna is the only one in our families who knows about my pregnancy. For some reason, I just can't bring myself to tell the other about it.

For one, everyone in Max's family is worried sick for him. If I tell them that I am carrying Max's child, I don't know how they'll react.

Secondly, my fathers and brothers once against despise Xavier. They blame him so much, as if he was the one who shot Max.

I don't want to tell them about my pregnancy and then give them a reason to hate Xavier more.

Trust me, they would. They would find some obscure reason even in this just to hate Xavier.

And as for mom, I'm just scared. While she doesn't hate Xavier, I can see it in her eyes that somewhere or the other, she does blame him a little.

"It's a little ball" Luna said, smiling widely as she looked down at the scans. "Smaller than a ball" I stated.

"It's already adorable. I can't wait to be an aunt!" she jumped excitedly. God I love her! If I was into women, she'd be my first and only choice.

"You want food? I can order something" she offered.

"Oh yeah, I'd love that" I nodded.

"Cool. What'd you want? Pizza? Sushi? Pasta?"

"What do you want?"

"Can we order alfredo pasta?" she grinned sheepishly.

I shook my head, chuckling at her, "Yeah. That's gonna be amazing."

Max's heart rate suddenly went up, the monitor beeping faster than usual. "Max?" I placed a hand on his hand. And then I felt...

Movement!

His finger twitched!!

"Oh my god! Call a doctor!" I shouted. Luna ran to get a doctor without asking anything else.
