Third Person POV:
The sound of a car's wheels screeching was heard around the front of the mansion. Xavier stepped out, head held high and eyes cold as ever.
"The car's getting dirty. Get it cleaned before tomorrow morning" he said to the guard who had come forward to open the car door for him.
"Si Capo" (Yes Don) the man said timidly, before stepping out of Xavier's way. The mansion was eerily quiet as Xavier walked in.
"RAMONA!" he called, removing his jacket and taking a seat on the couch. The old maid walked in with a glass of water.
"Why is the mansion so quiet?" he asked. "Mr. and Mrs. Alvarez have not yet returned Don" Ramona answered. Xavier frowned, looking at his watch.
11 pm. Where were his partners?
He called Sylvia and Max together, sighing in relief when they picked up. "Where are you two?" he asked, his voice slightly scolding.
"At the door" Max's reply came as he walked in through the door. "Sorry, there was a lot of work today" Max sighed, sitting opposite to Xavier.
"And where are you mi reina?" he asked, eyes glaring daggers at Maxwell. "Driving. I'll be home soon" Sylvia said, before cutting the call.
Xavier's brows furrowed together. "Why was her reply so bland?" Maxwell voiced out Xavier's thoughts. "Something's wrong" Xavier said.
Half an hour later, Sylvia was back home too. She gave a curt nod to the guards at the door, her face different than usual.
The guards looked at each other confused, wondering why their Donna seemed so stoic and irritated. She was usually happy and cheerful.
"Hey-"
"Leave me alone Xavier" Sylvia pushed him away, not a single emotion on her face as she walked up to their bedroom.
Xavier and Max shared a worried look, quickly following behind her. "What's wrong mi leona?" Max asked, both him and Xavier stopping at the door.
"Nothi-" Sylvia stopped mid word, wondering if it would be better if she told them the truth. After all, she just broke contact with her family.
"I had a fight" she retorted to say, still unsure if she should go in details. "With whom? On what?" Xavier asked, walking up to her.
He sat beside her on the bed, taking her hand in his. "With Eli and Mike" she whispered, looking away from her husbands.
That was a shocker to the boys. The three siblings love each other greatly. It rarely ever happens that they fight. And this one seemed serious.
"Why did you fight darling?" Max asked, crouching at her feet. "I told them I wanted them to accept Xavier and they said no and then..." she explained the entire situation.
"Are you crazy?!" Xavier exclaimed, standing up abruptly, "They're your family Sylvia. Your birth givers. Your first ever support. They always come first!"
"I know! But if they are important in my life, then you are too!" Sylvia stood up too. Max just sighed, knowing he would soon need to intervene.
"Sylvia, they raised you. You spent your entire life with them. Their resentment against me is completely understandable. I mean, you were literally shot a month ago!" Xavier said.
"I LOVE YOU GODDAMNIT! Is that not enough reason to at least just respect you? My father punched you in the face Xavier! Did you shoot me? NO! Then why hate YOU!!" Sylvia threw her hands in the air.
