Part 3 Chapter 4

He was happening to be sitting by a local musician who was a black man popular in the town for his music and guitar playing who just happened to get signed by a record label . So Jerrel tapped him and said "Hey your that guy from the blues tunes I heard". He replied saying "yes that's me and who are you?". Jerrel told him his full name "Jerrel hastlfelt Whitfield". So Jerrel  sat there for 2 hours explaining and telling him his passion for music and the musician took one thing from everything that Jerrel said which was "I would do anything for a record deal". So the musician said "So when you said u would do anything you mean that as in anything?". Jerrel said "yes I would". So the musician takes Jerrel and says "I have an opposition
for you but you can't tell anyone about this". So he took Jerrel down this long backroad Jerrel wanted to turn back but apart of him was intrigued by this. So while they were in the woods he encountered this male
Warlock . The warlock told Jerrel if he sleeps with the local musician and put someone who was in his bloodline as a sacrifice or as an offering he would be a successful rich musician despise him being a black man in the early 1950s . Jerel was completely thrown off cause he wasn't a homosexual or even bisexual but he had never had sex or been with a girl before , So this whole thing was new for him . The musician groomed him and seduced him by rubbing on Jerrel and whispering in his ear "if you do this one time you'll be rich and have a mansion big as a slave owner's house".
After he said that to him , Jerrel was interested . Unfortunately Jerrel was a virgin so after they did it
He was bleeding while he was on his way home . While walking home Jerrel was disgusted in his self that he had just done this over some record deal . 3 days went by and Jerrel ended up getting spotted by a talent manager cause he was regularly playing his guitar by the market . The talent manager offered him a good deal on the spot but it wasn't quite the deal Jerrel wanted . He wanted to make sure the deal he got would secure his money so he could contribute to support his family , even his mother . So that night him and the local musician went to have an encounter with the warlock again to tell him he wants a better deal and even more money. The warlock then said "if you desire more , you have to give more". Jerrel replied saying "what more do you want me to do? I had sex with a man and that still wasn't enough?". Warlock said "But did you give a sacrifice? You have 24 hours to make a sacrifice or I will make sure you'll never get a deal and you'll go back to being a broke musician who plays at the market". So jerrel left that night in a panic , Later that night around 9 Joicy and her husband invited Jerry and his fiancée along with Jerrel to her house for a family dinner and after wrapping up Jerrel helped Joicy do the dishes and while they were cleaning Jerrel asked Joicy out of curiosity "would you do anything like anything to get what you wanted?". Joicy said happily "I have my own home with a beautiful daughter and my husband , I couldn't imagine what else I would need in this world but God". As they were talking they walked into cherish's room as Jerrel held his niece who at this point was only 2-3 months old .

     Then an evil thought came to his head (the devil) and suggested he put cherish on the altar since she's only been alive less than 3 months . So jerrel had left Joicy's house and went back to the warlock this time without the local musician. Jerrel said confidently "I'm willing to give you my newborn niece cherish!". When he said it an evil force took over him , he felt no guilt at all. The warlock said to him "your wish is my command ". So after putting her name on the altar Jerrel just like his mother Sharleen has now gave the devil more legality to corrupt and destroy the family , possibly for more generations to come . Jerrel is now the reason for the second curse put on the family . After that happened Jerrel had a little bit of regret as he gained his full sane consciousness back , he tried negotiating with the warlock even tried offering his body up but the warlock said "the ritual is done , the deal is final".'
Jerrel said scarcely "what could I do to change this she's just a newborn-" cut off by the warlock "If you don't leave now I will put your whole family on a curse and many generations , I will bring sorrow to your life!". After that Jerrel had a strong gut feeling about what he did but at the same time he felt a relief cause he would finally make it big in the music industry like he always wanted . But when God seen that his heart had harden at that moment Jerrel's conviction was gone . God wasn't okay with the fact "cherish" Joicy's child , was put on an altar . God couldn't let the devil win this battle or let the devil think he could . As Jerrel was walking back home down the dirt road , he was approached by 3 racist white men . They harassed him asking "excuse me but where are you coming from? And why are you on our side of town?". Jerrel said "sorry sir I don't want no trouble" and continued to keep walking . One of the men said "Nigger don't walk away when I'm talking to you" Jerrel noticed that these 3 white men were not gonna let up tries to run but they get in their car and flash their head lights at him while he's running next thing you know , Jerrel fell as the car had hit him . Jerrel begged for his life he couldn't believe he had almost made it to getting a record deal and now he's in a situation he can't get out of . He's life was flashing infront of his eyes with all the mistakes he had made . Sadly after begging and pleading with the men they shot him in the head , took his body and hung him on a tree . The next day Jerrel was found dead . Jerrel was only 21 when he had died and all because a bad decision he had made . The death broke the hearts of the family with no one having a clue how this happened , Joicy would be so shocked to know the real reasoning behind her brother's death and what happened before he died . She would have know clue the affects on her own family would happen soon to come . While at the funeral the local musician decided to stop by in the attempt of showing support of Jerrel . He came in looking mysterious and while the funeral was going on Jerry had made eye contact with him and the local musician had a smirk on his face . The revelation of it all was the local musician never cared about helping Jerrel . He was sent by the warlock to kill another musician so that he can have more success and become wealthy . So unfortunately Jerrel was a casualty yet sacrifice that the local musician had used and was ordered to have killed by the warlock .

        One year later 1952, the local musician had took off and continued doing his sacrifices with other blues musicians so he could maintain his success . God couldn't allow such in evil act to happen cherish is the descendant of joicy , One of God chosen ones . God would not allow any child of joicy's or any grandchildren of her own family to die by the hands of the devil . Because they're meant to break the generational curses off the family . If not joicy then it would be cherish and so on and so on . Later that year Joicy discovered she was pregnant yet again this time it would be a boy who she would name "Matthew".
It had took the family months to finally get passed the tragic death of Jerrel . Grandma Debbie decided to move in with Joicy so she could be looked after as she's creeping up on old age , of course Joicy didn't mind Debbie staying with her . Her and her grandmother were really close she considered grandma Debbie as a mother . Sharleen still Hadn't reconciled her relationship with Joicy and wasn't speaking to her mother Debbie like that as well . I mean after all what would a daughter say to a mother that put a curse on her .

         A few months later , Joicy gave birth to her son Matthew . At the hospital Sharleen came to visit and brought Joicy some flowers as a peace offering . Sharleen said "You know I'm sorry for that fight we had it went too far". After 6 long years Joicy finally got her apology so she thought it would be fair to apologize for her part in the situation as well . Joicy allowed Sharleen to hold her grandchild Matthew . To catch
you guys up , yes Sharleen and Mr. Vangoe are still sneaking behind Mrs. Sena's back still having an ongoing affair. By this time Sena had another baby and Sharleen tried to get him to leave Sena but after all of that Mr. Vangoe still loved Sena . Sharleen not being able to get what she wants decided to once again to do the same thing she did many years ago . At this point witchcraft became a practice for her . Sharleen had made this a pattern that if things aren't going like she wants them to or if she doesn't get her way she turns to witchcraft for the things she wants. She's in a cycle of unrepentant behavior, so now the devil has become the lord over her life since she's living in darkness . So once again Sharleen went to Marget's aunt house to perform yet another ritual but during this , a spirit of sickness came over her and she fell to the ground and then she woke up in a hospital . Now Sharleen would have this sickness until she fully turned away from witchcraft . After she had became sick Mr. Vangoe made the decision to completely cut her off and never sleep with her again . God was clearly sending a message to Sharleen trying to get her attention but just like her son who passed away "Jerrel" her heart was stubborn towards God . Months after having Matthew Joicy and her husband Kevin had to work hard to make sure their two kids and her grandmother Debbie was taking care of . This brought a lot of stress on Kevin making the anger in him conjure up . Jerry and his wife had their own baby in early 1953 named him "Justin" . Him and his wife being younger in their 20s they didn't really know alot about raising a child , So joicy would always come by and help out at nights . With her doing that it really upset her husband kevin because when he got home from work he expected joicy to be there . So later that night when joicy
got home he was furious , she couldn't even finish her sentence before he blacked out . Joicy "I'm sorry I've been helping my brother with his first child they needed help". After she said that Kevin slaps her with the back of his hand . Joicy tried to crawl away but he dragged her by her leg and stood over her and said "when I tell you I want you home by the time I get off , you better be here do you understand me?". After that Joicy was left distraught on the floor . She had no idea this man she had been with since she was 18 and had 2 babies with would turn out to be like how her father use to be . The next day Joicy put makeup on to cover the mark Kevin had left on her face cause she knew if anyone especially her brother had found out what he did to her he would probably kill Kevin . She knew jerry just had a baby and didn't want him to go to prison for this . He wouldn't mind doing that for Joicy especially since Joicy helped raise him when he was younger . Joicy kept all of this inside so the abuse went on and on and all Joicy could do is cry out to God . She just couldn't understand how this man who had been so good to her for so many years would turn into a crazy psychopath . She had the support of her old time friend Melissa and grandma Debbie had moved out and decided to get a little house next to Jerry and his new wife . Months later , Sharleen is still sick and still hasn't told anyone but instead she thinks witchcraft will make her better . She doesn't want to repent cause she feels like God owes her something. Sharleen dealt with so much pride (James 4). Pretty much after this God had no choice but to give Sharleen what she wants and that is to become a full on witch . Which means Sharleen has lost all type of feelings , faith , belief, etc about God . Everything her mother Debbie taught her went down the drain . Now she has became something she never thought she would become which is a newly found witch.
