A few months has passed by , Sharleen was all the way in with the church. She was real buddy buddy with the pastor and his wife , later asked if she could be one of their armor bearers. This was just making things better for Sharleen , she had went up in rank and since then now had to do more things for more power. Sharleen was joining forces with other witches , conjuring up demons for people , joining secret societies , and even had the audacity to start her own community center , which she would use to make people pay to cast spells and was also trying to get people to convert to being a witch or aka one of the devils workers.

Meanwhile, Matthew and cherry have one more month left until there baby comes and they found out they were having a boy who would be named David. Matthew spoke to his uncle about building a nice sizable house for him and his two children. Matthew had showed some improvement since the last time he ran off to get married. He's now 17, working after school,just got his first car, and he even watches his baby girl more. Thanks to God he had help, A lot of people in the world these days feel they have no village or feel their village isn't enough. But sometimes we have to realize God is the village we need. We gotta suck them tears up, put them tears up, put them feelings and emotions up, and give it all of it to God and watch how he works (Matthew 6:33). Jerry was actually impressed with matthew, so be decided to tell joicy about it and well it went like this "Now you know that boy ain't gone change at all. He's not even 18 and he has 2 kids besides who's to say he doesn't stick his lil penis inside of anymore teenage girls. I guarantee you by the time he's 21 he'll have more than 5 kids". Joicy was slowly growing some of her mother's character traits from her mother. She lost all belief in her son because he made too many mistakes in the past for her to believe him this time. Matthew wasn't perfect but him making an effort deserves some type of recognition. But remember, People lose faith in you , but God doesn't.

Cherish had graduated and spent the summer hanging out with friends , helping her mom out at the salon , and trying to find a good college to go to in the winter of 1969. She had dreams of wanting to be a physiotherapist, which was helping people who are in pain heal. She really had a heart for doing right by people and helping those who need it , so this would be big for her. Joicy luckily had the money to put her through college and by doing this she knew this was a good investment. Cherish had never made mistake so it was easy for Joicy to give her a chance to graduate from college. Cherish and a friend decided to go to the school she would be attending "the campus party". Cherish had bumped into a boy named "Brian" and he introduced himself. Brian "oh excuse me my bad , what's your name?". Cherish "oh my name is cherish and who are you?". Brian "well my name is Brian , I play for the football team here and I'm a sophomore. I live in one of the houses around here with 4 other players on the team". Cherish "oh okay well I would be a freshman this year and I'd probably stay on the campus dorm or something". Brian "I mean my room is big enough I'm sure the boys wouldn't mind if u stay with me or I could help find you a room in three house my girl cousin stays in". Cherish "actually I would love that I don't know if I want to stay in a dorm. Do yo have a number I can reach you at?" Brian "actually I do let me write it down and I'll give it to you". Brian walks off to write the number and as he walked off cherish instantly felt a connection with him. Cherish friend asked her about it but cherish denied it. Cherish told her mom about the house and it consisted of 4 other black young girls and how her newly friend Brian told her about it. Joicy knows her daughter so she sat cherish down to give her the prep talk. Joicy "now baby you're growing up and I'm proud of you. Graduating high school and now going to college to pursue a career is great. But just to let you know not saying your doing anything but , there's boys at college and girls I don't know which one you like but to me it sounds like your sprung on this Brian boy. I just want you to be careful and not be so focused on a boy that you're not focusing on school. And since you're becoming an adult I can't stop you from having sex so if you do make sure you have protection". Cherish said "mom don't worry you raised me right so I'll be okay and I appreciate you for talking to me". Joicy "of course baby now this weekend imma get Derrick and your uncle maybe even your father to help move you into this house up there".' Joicy instantly forgot cherish was still upset with what her daughter did to her as I kid. Cherish said "Now mom I love my stepdad and uncle but my quote on quote father is not going anywhere near me". Cherish had a lot of resentment and unforgiveness in her heart towards her father because while he was beating on Joicy , cherish being a little girl pulled on his leg and he pushed her off of him. That always hurt cherish till this day and not only that he disappeared for 13 years.
Cherish walked off and was upset her mother would even suggest that to her.
