Part 2 Chapter 3

So January comes and now it's 1940 , Now Jim has become very ill and now that sharleen couldn't give up anyone else not even her children Jim has to naturally
die off by time . So January 26, 1940 Jim sadly passed away. It was devastating on the kids and Sharleen went on a dark path. She started taking up pain pills to
ease the lost of her late husband. Her mind went to the thoughts of how she lost the one man on this world she was obsessed with and even went outside of her religion which was Christ and did witchcraft over has now died leaving her with 3 kids who are slowly becoming into preteens & teenagers. Towards the end of 1940 around the 4 quarter of that year , Joicy grew into womanhood quickly because she is helping her mother raise her two little brothers. One day the 3 were playing outside were jerrel had asked joicy & Jerry about their father. Saying "why did daddy die?"
"I just don't understand how did he go from being Up and running till the last months started being really sick again". Joicy replied saying "I couldn't tell you ,
But I do agree and think it was very odd". Jerry
Agreed . Now while they were talking Sharleen had overheard them and this sudden rage had came over her. She was angry at the fact that her being what she thought was a "Good mother" wasn't enough for the kids. She was frustrated that she thought since time had went by the kids would forget about their father's passing. She said to herself "how could they love the man who raped me? How could they love a man who was a drunk and would disappear for days?".
She took what she thought and later that night went to
Margret's aunt (the witch) house , to see if she could potentially brain wash her kids so they wouldn't be curious to find out what really happened to their father or wouldn't question their mother.
She couldn't put joicy on the altar cause she had already did but this time she put both of the sons on it
So they wouldnt ask those same questions or try to look for answers. So now she has officially brainwashed her children's minds except joicy's.

Which means when or if joicy decides to look
Into her father's odd death , Sharleen is at risk of being exposed . Which leaves her two options for Sharleen , either kill her first born daughter or if exposed she'll have Jerry and jerrel under her control and they will believe sharleens story. But of course she wouldn't kill her own child , So she decided to take the risk of being exposed in the near future which to her wasn't possible .

4 years later 1945 , all of the kids are pretty much growing up and have been going through there own struggles as teenagers . Joicy 19 , is dating a boy after boy and actively having sex till she met a boy named Kevin , Jerrel he is sort of an odd kid he's into magic and he's a thief as well . He also has desires to be rich .
Jerry had also joined his older sister and became a fast boy who plays girls consistently . In 1945 , world war ll had just ended so the year was pretty good for the family. Joicy had made it a full year with her boyfriend and he would later marry her. It took years for Sharleen to get over the lost of her late husband Jim but luckily she did . Also Mrs. Woodlock got over her lost of her late husband and was even engaged to a new man "Mr. Vangoe". Sena was still very good friends with Sharleen especially since they both lost their husbands and had children . So when sena got engaged she told Sharleen and invited her and the kids to their wedding . One night Sharleen hosted a dinner for the couples Marge & her husband and Sena and Mr. Vangoe . During the dinner Sharleen made faces with Mr. Vangoe and was playing footies with him under the table , And while Joicy was walking by she seen it but didn't say anything . After the guest had left when the dinner was over , Joicy and her mother had cleaned up and the family had went to their rooms and were laying down or sleeping . But Joicy was up and she seen Sharleen sneaking out and meeting in a shed with Mr. Vangoe . When Joicy had seen this her resentment towards her mother grew even more . It's almost like when she seen this it made her feel like her mother isn't who she says she is in front of other people.

The next morning Joicy and Sharleen cooked breakfast for the boys . So when they were setting the table Joicy had a little bit of an attitude/animosity towards her mother and when the 4 of them sat down Sharleen had asked Joicy in a sarcastic way "So Joicy what is your new issue with me today?". Joicy replied
And said "Oh nothing mother , just up late last night same as you mamma?". She said sarcastically . Sharleen replied and said " I see the other side of the pillow wasn't cold last night?" . Jerry and jerrel laughed not thinking nothing of it cause usually Joicy and her mother have their little spats. Apart of Sharleen knew Joicy must've seen her sneak out last night . Joicy said "So mom what were you doing up so late anyways?" She said with an attitude . Sharleen quickly replied back saying "Little girl what I do as a grown woman you will never understand until you're a full grown adult". Joicy then replied and said "Maybe when I grow up I won't have to understand that from your point of view mother". Jerry and Jerrel looked around because obviously Joicy must know something that they don't know . Sharleen didn't respond by the way she was shocked that her daughter would say such a thing . So later that day Joicy and her friend who grew up in the church named "Melissa" . Her mother and grandmother brought Melissa to church all the time which is why Melissa is who she is today . Melissa is a good friend to Joicy for many years since middle school , but she had never thought about inviting Joicy to her church . But this time she decided to invite her and Joicy didn't decline . So Joicy joined Melissa , her mother , and her grandmother to their church and it was good service . The service was so good the pastor called on Joicy and told her that she had been put on a demonic offering and someone in her family had placed a ritual on her as well . Because of this the pastor said she needed deliverance . Joicy did go through her deliverance but apart of her was still stuck on the part that someone in her family would do that to her. The pastor prayed against and casted that demon out of her . In faith when you are going through the deliverance getting it casted out is not the only thing that will get rid of the demon. There has to be a search of the root of the thing that has become of you . Joicy now needed to find out how this happened to her and what could she do to make sure she is free of any unclean spirits . During the deliverance the pastor also prophesied to Joicy and said "You have a call on your life to casted out devils and to break the generational curses . Don't let that scare you though Joicy because if you do God will turn you to the devil like he did others in your family". After that night Joicy weeped to God and was conflicted cause she couldn't come to understand how all of this works . She wasn't raised in church like that especially when Sharleen started doing witchcraft her mother would only take them to church for holidays or funerals. She also couldn't form the idea that someone in her family put a hex on her . So the next day she head to her grandmothers house and she told grandma debbie what had happened . Debbie told her this is something dangerous and if she didn't want to know who could've did it she should leave . Joicy being determined she said "No". Joicy wanted to know who did this and why . So grandma sits down and tells her "listen baby , your mom was crazy about your father she would've did anything and everything to keep him". Joicy replied saying "Okay grandma what does that have to do with this?". Grandma said "I don't know if this is all the way true but a couple of years ago one of my old friends said that  she seen Sharleen at a known witch house which is your mother's friend Margret's aunt". "Everyone knows that lady as a witch but never did I expect that all of this happened because of that until you confirmed it today". Joicy replied and said "So is my mother the reason why Darcy is dead? Or my father?". Grandma Debbie " I don't know the truth all the way but what I will say is when your father was sick your mother would've did anything she could to save him". Joicy couldn't take it anymore , she left her grandmother's house in a shock of the possibility that her mother might've caused all of this . Debbie lived 2 hours walking distance away from her daughter's sharleen's house but Joicy in an adrenaline rage was able to get their in under a hour mark . When she gets to the house she slams the front door and rushes to her room . She was breathing heavy in unbelief that her grandma had told her all this and started crying hysterically . While doing so she grabs her suitcase and starts packing . As she's packing something made her rethink this all and say "well why would she even do this? This is crazy and all too much. Mother isn't perfect but I don't think she would result to downright evil as that". That voice in her head was the devil . One thing about the devil he doesn't want us to have a revelation or the truth about anything that's evil . The devil hates when we understand how the kingdom of darkness works . He would want us to be like people wandering with blind folds on not knowing what's going on around us . But one thing about God he is the truth and the light (John 14:6) and God will always gives us the right discernment and truth of things our human minds can understand . But be clear discernment isn't something of the natural man it is one of the many fruits of the spirits of God (1 Corinthians 2:5) . So after Joicy calmed down and played it off . She said to herself "Grandma never really had the best of relationship with my mother and I do remember them getting into it at times , maybe she just wants me to feel the same way about my mother just like her".

But something inside of Joicy knew her  grandmother
wasn't lying. Why would her grandmother lie to her? What would she gain from that? Joicy felt that she needed more evidence . So weeks later , the day of Ms. Sena & Mr. Vangoe's wedding had finally came and everyone was getting ready . Sharleen and Sena were so closed that Sharleen was a bridesmaid . So after the two got married they had a wedding reception . During the reception Joicy once again noticed that Vangoe and Her mother were missing . So she went to the back of the house and saw Mr. Vangoe with his pants down and her mother with her dress up. To get them to stop she acted like she was causally walking towards the trash to throw something away then the both of them stopped . Joicy was so upset she couldn't believe how sloppy her mother truly was. In Joicy's mind she heard the words of the pastor and her grandmother speaking to her , everything was coming back to her and she couldn't help but realize her mother might've been the one who put the hex on the family . After the reception had ended Joicy was asleep in her bed when she had another dream. This dream is the dream she had a couple years ago but this time it was her mother who was feeding her something . This time Joicy woke up immediately before taking a bite of anything . Joicy took a risk and walked to her grandmothers house , Debbie just had happened to be up and let her in . Joicy had spent the night and woke up around 8am in the morning she had her boyfriend Kevin come pick her up to go to her mothers house and retrieve some things from her room to stay at grandma's house . While doing so she confronted her mother. Sharleen asked Joicy "where were you all night? Where u out last night being fast?". Joicy looked back and said "is this the same woman who is messing around with Mr. Vangoe? Someone who just got married to your best friend?". Sharleen replied saying "little girl once again you don't know what you're talking about". Jerry said "Joicy is there something you want to say?". Joicy replied saying "Okay since you want to know , not only is mom a mistress she's also a witch who put me and daddies name on an altar!". "She's the reason daddy is dead!". Sharleen then slaps Joicy and said as Jerry holds her back "You bitch you're a liar how dare u say such things to your mother!". You're just jealous because none of the boys want you because you're a whore!". Joicy replied saying "No bitch they do want me but I know daddy didn't want you! You trapped him with 3 kids that being us and was so desperate you did anything to keep him." "I mean that is the reason u had to turn to witchcraft and make your altars". Joicy then said to her as walking out the door holding her suitcase of things "You ain't nothing but a hastlefelt witch who daddy settled for". Then Sharen attacks Joicy and starts fighting her . They were fighting and rolling around on the ground pulling each others hair and punching each other then Jerrel and Jerry stepped in to break it up between the two. Kevin who was outside heard the commotion came in to get Joicy . Sharleen pushed Jerrel off of her and runs in the kitchen to grab a knife to attempt to stab Joicy but she didn't . After that Joicy took her things and she never looked back . She knew after this day she would never speak to her mother again .

Jerrel and Jerry didn't want her to leave they were asking Joicy to give them answers on the whole situation with their mother being a witch and possibly killing their father. But Joicy didn't say a word . She knew if she would've said something it would've crushed them . Joicy was in shock that her mother would attack her like that and pull a knife on her . So then Joicy and Kevin moved in grandma Debbie's house , luckily she had a 3 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms so Joicy and Kevin had their own space . Joicy and Kevin stayed with grandma Debbie for years . 1949 had came and it had been a couple years since the fight with her mother had occurred . By then all 3 of sharleen's children are grown with Joicy being engaged to her boyfriend Kevin. Jerry had been with his new girlfriend for a year and has now moved from sharleen's house , While Jerrel is too busy playing the streets and stealing . He's newest obsession was trying to become a famous musician like Ray Charles or a Louis Armstrong . So surprisingly he was good at playing the guitar so he would play at local bars and would try to get a record deal but him being a black man in the 1940s that was almost impossible to get . In 1950 , Joicy was pregnant with her first child "cherish". Joicy and her now husband Kevin had moved out of grandma Debbie's home and got a little home of their own . Cherish was born in the first quarter of 1951 , and she was a beautiful baby . Around that time her relationship with her mother Sharleen was gone . They hadn't talked in years . Luckily grandma and Jerry were right by her side when she had the baby. Jerrel who was too depressed to show up because he still hadn't found a record deal . He usually spent his time in the bars getting drunk .
