After that night , Sharleen was finally ready to give up everything that was attached to her from the devil. She told God she was done with this life and didn't want to come back and she was willing to leave it all behind. But God wanted Sharleen to come into complete agreement with him and have faith in God , after all that time she spent depending on the devil . This meant she couldn't use any of the money she had gotten from the devil and would have to leave the church as well. After a month had went by Sharleen gave the church away and gave away all the clothes she that she had worn as a witch and sold most of her statues and symbols she had around the house. She was ready for a change.....until she started getting a pile of bills in the mail. All of her community centers were going into foreclosure and apparently the witches and warlocks she trusted to run those centers were stealing from the books and hid it so well she didn't even know. But this was all a test for Sharleen , to see if she was fully prepared to depend on God. Sharleen had also sold her car and the house she was staying in and got a little duplex in the community on the old side of town she use to live on , She even started back going to church. It wasn't an easy transition for her , she still had to undergo alot of deliverance from all the demons and spirits she had let come into her body. She was always haunted by the devil and told if she didn't return he would have her in complete debt. But Sharleen was holding on stronger this time and didn't give up. One day she wrote to Joicy about everything that was going on and when Joicy read it she cried tears of joy. Joicy was so happy that after all these years of prayer , her mother was finally returning back to the women she knew she could be.

         Joicy invited her mother over to talk and asked to her mother what she needed help with and her mother complained a lot about her current bills and saying she didn't know how she was gonna make it. Joicy said to her "well mother , this is all a test from the lord , he wants to test your faith so you can fully trust in him and not the devil, trust me I'll past". Sharleen "I know it will , but apart of me feel like it won't. What if God did this just to set me up for all the the evil things I've done?". Joicy "No mother that is not the God I serve , Just try your best to trust him this time , be confident and steadfast in the lord and trust what he'll do for you". Sharleen was listening but at the same time she wasn't , Sharleen dealt with alot of the withdrawals and temptations to not try and go back to her old ways. Sharleen had to understand she could no longer result to evil things to get what she wanted out of this world through God , She needed to understand with God it's his will not ours.

In 1989 , Sharleen was completely broke and had to file for bankruptcy. All while trying to to have a relationship with God , the devil was still trying to destroy her out of jealousy. Sharleen had became one of the high ranking witches and one of the many wives of the devil and he wasn't gonna let Sharleen have any peace in her life until she changed her mind. Things got so bad for Sharleen , she couldn't afford food and was on the street begging for money and anytime she tried to get a job it never worked out. She constantly weep to God and didn't want to ask her family for help at all. Her lights had been off for a month and joicy out the kindness of her heart decided to pay her rent and turn the lights back on for her mother Sharleen. Sharleen was still very prideful and didn't want help , but she needed it at hard times like this.

      Sharleen would stay up at night being tormented with double minded and thoughts on what she should do. She kept going through deliverance , but since she wasn't doing the work and in the Bible it makes it clear that faith without works is dead (James 2:14-26). Joicy had a message from God to give to Sharleen that was very important. Joicy went to sharleen's home and directly said to her "God said if you make the choice to go back , it might be your last chance and it won't be another chance. He also said to keep your mind on me and I will provide for you and give you the tools you need to stay on the narrow path i've ordained for you". Sharleen was taking heed of the word , but also wasn't really a big fan of the timing of God.
