it was early in the morning.
pearl and y/n were playing some video games in her gaming room and y/n was getting ready to stop and go to work.
pearl: can't you just say your sick again?
y/n: nah
pearl: i'm sure that your boss wouldn't mind if you were sick for ONE more day.
y/n: uhh yeah i think she would. did you see the way she was looking at me yesterday in the square?!
pearl: yeah but it's only ONE day!
y/n: one day too many. and by the way, aren't YOU supposed to be getting ready for work?
pearl: nope i just told marina i was sick as hell and she said she'll cover for me!
y/n: oooofcourse!
marina then enters the room which makes pearl start to pretend she was sick.
pearl: uggghhhhh *cough* i'm dying *cough cough*
marina: oh gosh! pearl, you really ARE sick! i hope you didn't infect y/n with that.
pearl: wait if i infect y/n, he would have to stay here with me, right?
y/n: marina stop giving her ideas
marina: so are you ready to go to the square?
y/n: yup!
pearl: nooooooo *cough* don't goooo *cough* i need someone to take care of meeeee *cough*
marina: eh, im sure you'll be fine.
the two of them leave the room, put on their shoes and start to walk to the limo and head off to inkopolis.

agent 4: so are you just gonna stand here until you spot y/n?
marie: mmmhmmm! and if he doesn't come i'll make him come!
agent 4 raised one of her eyebrows while leaning against a wall.
agent 4: oh look he ACTUALLY came this time.
she says while pointing at y/n who was coming out of the limo and talking with marina.

y/n: i'll see ya later marina!
marina: you too! byeeee, y/n!
they wave of to each other as they walk their seperate ways.
as he walks over to the grate. 4 and marie quickly enter so y/n didn't notice that they were just standing there and observing him.
y/n: another day, another dollar!
he says to himself before lifting and entering the grate.
