6 months later...

Everything seemed to be in order, Jennie finally told herself that she way going to forget Lisa and move on. She was tired of not been able to move on and keep going with her life, she wanted a happy ending. She didn't want to be trapped in the past, she didn't want to keep believing that Lisa would leave Sana and eventually be available for her.

As the months passed and she saw how happy Lisa and Sana were, she told herself that everything was over between her and Lisa, the was no other chance for them to get back together.

That is why she said yes to something Mark asked her, at first she doubted saying yes, but seen how happy he was when he asked her that simple question, she couldn't say no to him.

The brunette girl was finishing getting ready, Mark's family were in town so they were going to have dinner with them. It had been a while since she last saw them, so she was excited to see them, even though she was a bit nervous.

She looked at herself in the mirror one las time, making sure she looked good. She was wearing a nice dress, one that didn't reveal much but made her look exceptional.

She put on a few accessories, one of them included a rind on her ring finger. Yes, it was an engagement right. Marked asked her to marry him a couple months ago.

Jennie knew that saying yes to him was the right move, she couldn't say no to him and hurt him, that is why she say yes right away. It took a few days for everything to sink in and realized she was going to marry him.

Another reason why she thought she made the right decision was also because Lisa left for Thailand a couple months ago due to an emergency.

She's probably having a good time in Thailand with Sana.

How much longer are you going to think that she's going to come back to you?

Forget about her! Stop trying to believe that she'll come back to you.

Lisa is not yours, she belongs to someone else. She doesn't have feelings for you anymore.

The little voice inside her head, kept repeating those things over and over. As much as she tried to forget about that, her mind would always play with her and her emotions, she was tired of it.

She knew that agreeing on marrying Mark and forgetting Lisa will be for the best. She told herself that this time she was going to try her best to be happy.

They arrived at the fancy restaurant in Manhattan, Mark's mom and his sister were already waiting for them. Once she saw them from afar, she got up and waved at them happily. Jennie smiled and waved back as they got to their table.

"Hi, it's been so long honey." The older woman stated as she gave Jennie a long hung.

"I'm so happy to see you, Amelia." The brunette girl said with a huge smile.

Jennie knew her for years now, she not only adored her, but also admire her. Ever since her and Mark were friends, Amelia treated her like if she was her own daughter.

"I missed you a lot Jennie." The blonde-haired girl with blue eyes gave Jennie and hug and then hugged her brother. "I missed you a little less than Jennie brother." Everyone started laughing and the comment Mark's little sister made.

"Of course, you would miss her more than your own brother."

"Well, don't forget that soon she would be my sister-in-law in a few months, so yes, I missed her more than I missed you." Jennie laughed once again.

"I missed you son, how have you been?" Amelia gave him a hug.

"I've been good mom; everything is going great."

"Where is my little Henry?" Alice, Mark's younger sister asked.

"He's at a friend's house, sometimes he's a but inpatient when it comes to having dinner or being at a certain event."

"I miss him, he's such a sweetheart." Alice said as they all sat down.

"How is the wedding planning going?" Amelia asked excited.

"everything is going great mom; we have two venues in mind. But I told Jen that to me it doesn't really matter. If it was up t me, we would fly to Vegas right now and elope."

"That's because you don't really care about it Mark. That day has to be a special day for Jennie." Jennie gave her a smile.

The truth is that Jennie wasn't all that exited about it. She already had gone through that once before and she knew how stressful it was. Everything had to be perfect, the invitations, venue, food, the cake, the dress.

Just thinking about that always gave Jennie a headache.

Jennie decided to forget everything about the wedding and decided to just enjoy dinner and have a good time.

Jennie knew Mark's family well enough to be able to have a good time with them. Something Jennie admired about Amelia was that she raised her two kids alone. Mark's dad passed away when he was so little, so it was always Amelia and her two kids. She also admired how well she had raised him, she definitely raised Mark to be a great mean. Jennie saw Amelia as a great example of a mother and she eventually wanted to be like her.

Once they were done with dinner, they decided to walk around Manhattan, it was their first time in NYC. They wanted to visit many places, so they decided to take advantage of their short time in the US.

This is what Jennie needed, she needed to keep herself busy and forget about everything that was going on. She needed to forger about work, the wedding, and the headaches she would get from the stress, especially someone in specific.

Lalisa Manobal.

Lisa didn't know how she was able to function the last two months, they went by so quick that she barely had time to take a break. Once she received a phone call from her mom telling her that her dad had been hospitalized, she took the first flight to Thailand. She dropped everything and left, but of course she told a few people of what was going on, a couple of them were Jennie and Sana.

Of course she didn't like to be away from Henry, but she knew Jennie would not agree on taking him with her out of the county. She also knew she would be so busy that she wouldn't be able to fully pay attention to him and take care of him.

Sana understood that Lisa needed to flight out of the sudden. The red-haired girl would've love to go to Thailand with Lisa, but she couldn't because of work. So, phone calls, facetime, and text messages would have to do it. At first, they would try to stay in touch every day, but the time difference made it difficult, so they went from talking every day to every other day, to once or twice during the week.

Sana called her one day letting her know that she was going to be transferred to a different hospital, this meant that they would not see each other as often, which meant that if they still wanted o be together, they would have to be in a long-distance relationship.

Her dad's health was finally back to normal and he was stable and back at home. Lisa was happy to be back at home, even though it was just for a bit. She was happy to see her family again, she missed them, just like she missed being back home.

Lisa took advantage to be back at Thailand and made sure everything back in Bangkok was flowing perfectly. Everything was going great; she was going to stop by Seoul to make sure everything was good there as well.

Even though it had been a little over two months that she hadn't seen Henry, she would try her best to talk to him over the phone or facetime. Lisa knew she had to sacrifice her sleep on certain days in order to talk to him. She would stay up late at night just to hear his voice of see his beautiful face even though it was just for a few minutes.

Lisa finally returned to NYC after almost three moths of being away. Those last three months had been a roller coaster of emotions for her, fear, worry, disappointment, sadness, happiness, were all the emotions she felt. Alcohol was her best friend during those times and also gave her strength to keep going.

Lisa called Jennie the following day she returned and asked her if she and Henry wanted to have lunch with her. It was the middle of the week, but Jennie decided that she would let Lisa take Henry the rest of the week so they could spend time together.

Jennie walked into the restaurant holding Henry's hand, the little one smile as soon as she spotted the black-haired girl who was waiting for them at their table.

"Mommy Lisa!" The little one ran towards Lisa who was waiting for him with open arms. She picked him up and hugged him hard and kissed him as well.

"You have no idea howmuch I missed you son. Look at you, you're getting so big. Don't grow up too quick,I won't allow it." Lisa tickled him making him laugh so hard, Jennie smiled asshe got to the table.

She couldn't help looking at Lisa, she looked thinner than before.

"When I told him that you were back, he wouldn't stop asking when she would seeyou again."

"I'm so glad to be back, I won't ever leave again, I promise son." Lisa said asshe gave Henry a kiss on the head. "I'm sorry that I left just like that, I didn'twant to leave you all the responsibility to you only."

"Don't worry about it, I know how things are when emergencies arise. How's yourdad doing?" Jennie asked genuinely. She had known him and Lisa's mom for manyyears, that even though everything that happened between her and Lisa, shestill cares about them and vice versa.

"He's doing so much better know, he's back at home. Which by the way, he toldme to say hi to you, both him and my mom."

"Thank you, they were always so nice to me." Both her and Lisa stayed quiet fora bit, Jennie didn't know what else to say." Shall we order something? I'm sureyou're starving; you look thinner than before."

"Yeah, with everything that was going on, I barely had time to eat, but nowthat things are back to normal, I can go back to eating better."

They ordered a few dishes because Lisa didn't make her mind about what shewanted to eat. Henry was happy to see so much food that he was enjoying everybit of it.

Lunch was going great, they were laughing and having a great time, somethingthat hadn't happened in a while. Lisa was happy that she was finally able tohave some quality time with Jennie, the last few months she had been very distantfrom her.

Lisa was happy to have a normal day with Jennie, without fighting or arguing. Itwas just as if things were back to being like they were before. But Lisa'shappiness only lasted a few minutes, her smile faded when she noticed the smallaccessory on Jennie's ring finger. She looked away to hide her disappointment andthe mixture of emotions she had. She cleared her throat to try to keep herselftogether and looked a Jennie's left hand.

"Nice ring..." That was the only thing that came out of her mouth. Once Jennie realizedwhat she was talking about, she looked down and then placed her hand under thetable.

"Thank you, Lisa..."

"So, you're getting married?" Lisa tried to sound as calm as possible, shecleared her throat once again.

Jennie got quiet, she didn't know what to say, she wanted to tell her the truth. That she was getting married, but she really wasn't sure about it. But whywould she tell her that? Lisa probably didn't care about it, she shouldn't haveto, she was happy with someone else.

"Yeah..." That was the only word Jennie could say, Lisa looked away instantly.

"Well, congratulations. When are you getting married?" She didn't care aboutthat whatsoever, but she wanted to know how soon it would be.

"At the beginning of next year... less than six months."

"Well, I'm happy for you Jennie." She gave her a smile, even though deep down, she was hurting.

"Lisa, I wanted to tell..." Lisa looked at her and got up interrupting her.

"I have to get going, I forgot that I have something to take care of reallyquick. I can take Henry with me, or I can pick him up tomorrow."

"If you have things to do, then just pick him up tomorrow."

"I'll see you tomorrow then, I took care of the check already, so you don't haveto worry about that. I'll see you tomorrow honey, I love you."

"Bye mommy Lisa."

"Bye sweetheart." She gave him a kiss on the head. "I'll see you later, andonce again congratulations." She last sentence she said it just to know berude, her emotions took the best out of her that the only thing she could dowas to leave.

Jennie didn't know what just had happened, Lisa's attitude had change from onesecond to another. She took a long sigh and ran her hand through her hair. It wasn'ther intention to show off her engagement right, she was going to take it offbefore getting to the restaurant, but she forgot about it. She forgot about it whenshe knew she was going to see Lisa once again.

She planned on telling her, but she didn't want to tell her that way. She didn'twant Lisa to find out like that, but there was no going back. Jennie could onlymove on and keep moving forward.
