Lisa had a busy day the following day, and only have a few hours of sleep didn't help at all. But having some caffeine would do the work.
After stopping by Starbucks and getting an Americano with two espresso shots, she took a cab and headed to work. As she walked into her office, she found a few documents her assistant had left for the meeting she was going to have.
Lisa thought that the meeting was only going to last a couple of hours, but she was wrong about that. Those two hours turned into five hours because the first have of the meeting, she spent catching up with some of the people. She knew a few of them so she was happy to see them and remember old times.
Once she was done with the meeting, she decided to take a break. She decided to take a Power Nap because by then, the caffeine was gone. Once her alarm went off, she looked at the time and started looking through her phone until she got bored. She took a deep breath and decided to finally call the brunette girl.
She heard the phone ring a couple of times. 'She's probably busy with work', she thought to herself. She hung up the phone and decided to just send her a text message telling her to give her a call whenever she had the chance.
She thought about calling her one more time but she didn't want to bother her and just patiently waited for Jennie to call her.
*********************************Just like every Monday, Jennie was busy with work, not just on the administrative side, but she was also busy seeing patients. She loved staying busy, she loved seeing her patients and helping them, as well as her staff.
The brunette girl was in the middle of a session with a patient when she got a phone call from Lisa. She thought about excusing herself and answering the phoebe call, but she knew it wasn't that important because Henry was at daycare at the moment. Whatever it was, it could wait.
The day went by quickly, when she finally had a second, she decided to call Lisa back. She took a long sigh and waited for the tall girl to answer, which she did immediately.
"Jennie, hey..."
"Hi, just wanted to return the phone call."
"Yeah, I wanted to talk to you..."
"Really? About what?"
"Well, I wanted to ask you something." Jennie laughed when she noticed Lisa was not only saying a word or two.
"Ok Lisa, just ask me what you need to ask me."
"Ok, here we go..." Lisa let out a long breath trying to calm down a bit. "Sana and I were thinking about, well I was thinking about." Lisa cleared her throat trying to put her words together. "I was thinking, well I wanted to ask you if you wanted to have lunch or dinner with Sana, Mark and myself. That way we can set things straight and try to get along well."
Jennie got quiet for a few seconds; her blood was boiling just by simply hearing the red-haired girl's name. She tried to calm down and not be rude nor say something she would regret later.
"Set things straight now Lisa?" From what I know there's nothing to set straight, unless there's something going on that I don't know about."
"No, I'm not talking about that Jennie. What I'm trying to say is that both Sana and I, as well as you and Mark, spend time together. Don't you think that it would be nice if we all at least got along? At least let's do it form Henry." Jennie let out a sigh. She knew Lisa was going right, they both decided to move on and date other people. The least both could do was to have some sort of healthy relationship with each other's significant others, or at least be civil with each other.
