The room was bathed in a soft glow from the ceiling light, casting a warm ambiance over Meerab as she was curled up in his lap, his strong arms wrapped around her in a tight yet gentle embrace. There was silence. All silence. He simply held her close to his heart, soothing himself. He loved how she was home to him. Nothing seemed peaceful whenever he was away from her. He silently wished if he could just stop time like this and caress her soft hair and baby face forever. He had literally named her right. Moonbeam. She had entered his life and lightened every dark corner. Be it in his heart or his mind. She was always there, keeping him calm. He Inhaled her scent again and again just to memorize it, and every time he got close to her, this scent of her would drive him crazy. He never thought he would become Murtasim from Murtasim Khan. Soft from ruthless, caring, it is heartless just only for her. He never believed someone would just change him so much by just being around him. Was this even real? Was this what they called being in love madly? Was this what the called being bewitched? Was this what they called defeated happily? Whatever it was... It was beautiful and he loved it. He wished he had known this feeling earlier, but Fate made him wait for his Meerab, His Moonbeam. He felt blessed, even in silence he felt as if their hearts were talking, as if they were singing each other lovenotes, as if they were holding each other for them. The silence between them was comfortable, filled with unspoken understanding and love that transcended words.

Murtasim's deep voice cut through the tranquillity, breaking the silence like a gentle whisper of the wind. His warm breath brushed against Meerab's forehead as he leaned in to place a tender kiss there, his lips lingering for a moment before he spoke.

"Do you ever crave someone's presence, Moonbeam?" His words were soft, yet filled with a raw emotion that tugged at Meerab's heartstrings. She shifted slightly, turning to look into his eyes, her own reflecting the affection and adoration she held for him.

Her eyes. These damn eyes... They were at fault since day 1. He forgot to breathe, he felt. Her eyes, so deep that they would hold him in them forever, the love that seeped out of them, the spark that meant the world to him. She could literally ask him to die with these eyes, and he would do it happily, wasting no time

"What do you mean?" she asked softly, her voice carrying a hint of curiosity and wonder.

Murtasim gazed into her eyes, his own dark orbs shimmering with a mixture of emotions. "I mean, like I would literally be happy sitting next to you even in complete silence," he confessed, his words carrying a weight of sincerity. "It's the privilege to breathe in the same air as you, to hold you close even if there are no words, to keep you close to my heartbeat so it's regulated Is this even a thing?"

His confession left Meerab speechless, her heart swelling with love and gratitude for this man who cherished her so deeply. She reached out to caress his cheek, feeling the stubble under her fingertips. "Murtasim," she whispered, her voice filled with warmth and affection, and the lone tear he was holding in his eye finally leaked out. Was he crying because he loved her so deeply? Or was this the love that wanted him to cry happy tears after having someone like her, whom he could call his own after all these years? Was it the fear that still engulfed him that he had made a mistake to fall in love so deeply knowing where he stood in all these dangers? Would he be able to protect her? He didn't know. He felt surreal, or maybe over, blessed.

"My nights, my days, my talks, my heart, Everything is incomplete without you now. I never knew I would fall this much for a man, but here I am falling for you every second" She confessed, a blush creeping up her cheeks as she looked away.

"Meerab" Murtasim melted into her touch, his face resting onto her palm as he placed a soft kiss over it, "How do you always have the right words?" He asked with a dry chuckle.
