lloyd wakes up, his alarm blaring. his alarm? but there's no school until the new year? he checks his phone, seeing that there is a robbery going on down town. he blinks, groaning. he said he'd text y/n as soon as he'd wake up.
well, he still can.

okay, he's texted her. he runs over the buildings, trying to figure out where the robbery is taking palace.
"robbery taking place on green lane," yep, the city named a street after him. more like the mayor did? it's a whole thing. "speeding with a white mini cooper with the licence plate-"
"are you out all by yourself?" the green ninja stops running, pressing his finger on his communication device.
"mom?!" he whispers in an alarmed state. his green eyes go wide. oh no. oh no, oh no. what is his mother doing on comms? "what...no...i'm-"
"i'm here," the earth ninja says, running over to lloyd. "my bad, little man. is everything okay? what are you standing around here for?"
the earth ninja winks at him, making the green ninja slowly sigh out. and in massive relief.
"i'm with cole, mom," he whispers after making sure there is no one around. last thing they need now is drama.
"good," misako says, making sure. she can see cole's colour on the tracking deceive screen too, next to her son. "now, go catch that bad guy, sunshine,"
"aw," the earth ninja coos, pressing down onto comms. the green ninja looks at him, making him laugh. "sorry, sorry. come on, greenie. bye, miss garmadon," the earth ninj salutes the green ninja, running off.
"i will, mom," the green ninja whispers into the comms. "i love you. see you at home,"
"i love you too. bye, sunshine,"

"so?" cole slides in the booth of the cafe as lloyd sits opposite him.
"so?" lloyd repeats, waiting for a question of some sort.
"you have been looking at your phone since we caught the robbers," cole sips on his sweet milky drink. he was going to get a chocolate cake, but it's way too early for it. "so," cole repeats. "who are you waiting for?"
"no one,"
"y/n?"
"yup," lloyd says with no hesitation. she still hasn't texted back. it's nine twenty three now.
"maybe, she's still asleep?" cole suggests. "if it's really that urgent, call her,"
"i don't have her number,"
"you can call people on intsagram," cole says, raising his eyebrow. "are you avoiding her?"
should he tell cole? if he tells cole, jay's going to know. then nya's going to know. then kai will. and skylor. then zane. and then pixal.
but he needs help and he's got nothing to lose.
"we're planning a date," lloyd lets out, making cole almost choke on his drink.
"what? are you joking?!" cole laughs with a smile on his face. little man is growing up.
"nope," lloyd smiles. "we're going to plan to for new years eve. i think that's what she wanted. she also wanted to plan it by herself, but i want to treat her so...i don't know what to do,"
"i can't lie," cole starts, pulling on his locs. he re did them yesterday. they're a bit itchy. "but since i have like no experience in the dating industry, you're going to have ask everyone else. but i think you guys should plan it together,"
"oh okay," lloyd nods, cole sipping on more of his drink. "wait-you want me to ask kai?"
"what's my boyfriend done now?" skylar says, walking over to the two boys. her red hair obvious for anyone who's going to look at her. she doesn't really go to ninjago high anymore. she dropped out to work on her dad's restaurant industry. and let's just say, it's booming, especially with her in charge. "how are you guys?"
"hi sky," cole says, moving over for her to sit down. "lloyd's got himself a date,"
lloyd groans, banging his head on the table. he knew this was going to happen. and it hurts the table more.
