The wind caressed his wings gently as he flew over a forest of tall and mighty pines. He was up over the trees but quickly decided to have a little fun, in fact, his trajectory changed, sliding lower and faster, flying between the trees, turning expertly and avoiding every last pine needle.
When he landed right out of the forest, his wings twitched in excitement, loving the adrenaline of a good flight.

Instead, back on the warship, Knockout had been charged with finding a suitable sparkmate for Lord Megatron so he would have impressed his carrier. It was rather hard because he had to find someone objectively attractive, able in something, and able to keep up with Megatron's scrap.
Thinking of this, the medic immediately remembered he knew the perfect bot for this role. He just needed to wait for him to get back from his daily flight.

Knockout didn't need to wait much, and as soon as the Seeker was back on the warship, he made sure to be the first to meet him.

Knockout: "Starscream!"

The Seeker turned, looking at the shorter mech in curiosity. Knockout used to call him nicknames all the time. It was unusual for him to refer to the Seeker with his right desination.

Starscream: "What is it, Knockout?"

Knockout: "I have a big favor to ask-"

Starscream: "I won't distract Lord Megatron so you can go race with humans again."

It was a very legitimate answer, but the medic reassured the flier that it wasn't for him.

Starscream: "If not for you, then for whom?"

Knockout: "Technically, it would be for Lord Me-"

Again, before the sports car could finish his sentence, the Seeker had already turned and walked away. Knockout followed him quickly, running to him and blocking his way with his own frame. Very unusual.

Starscream: "I won't do anything out of my responsibilities for that afthole."

Knockout: "I know you hate him, but you're the only one who can do this."

Starscream: "Do what!?"

The medic stopped. He did take into consideration that the Seeker and the Warlord hated each other since they met, but it was a good thing. The two would have looked more natural if they fought and all.

Knockout: "...pretendtobeMegatron'ssparkmate-"

Starscream's claws took off, very close to the framework of the sports car.

Starscream: "Don't mock me and be clear, doctor."

Knockout finally took in the level of the situation. His precious paint was at stake, and he couldn't let Starscream ruin it.

Knockout: "I need you to pretend to be Megatron's sparkmate! Okay?"

Starscream went blank, rightfully shocked by his friend's request. He moved his claws away from the mech's chestplate and looked down at him with wide optics.

Starscream: "You need me to what?"

Both mechs stared at each other for what might have been at least 20 minutes before the Seeker snapped out of his trance.

Starscream: "Why would I ever do something like- like that!? And why do you- why would he need me to- to do that!"

Knockout: "Can't you even pronounce it?"

Starscream: "NO! OBVIOUSLY NOT!"

The Seeker sighed deeply, expecting to be mocked for his reluctance in even saying what the medic had asked him to do. His cheek plates slowly turned more blue by the passing moments, realizing he had asked him to be Megatron's mate. That was never going to happen, never.

Knockout: "Come on, Megatron's carrier is here and she expects him to have a partner! He didn't want to disappoint her."

Those words unlocked something inside Starscream, he knew how to felt to be a total disappointment to the ones that should have been your rock, and he remembered clearly how awful it felt when they were not just angry, but ashamed of him being their son.
His feelings toward his sire and carrier came up, and with a heavy sigh, he looked at the wall beside him, avoiding optic contact with Knockout.

Starscream: "...fine, but I don't want to be placed on the first line without a story behind or some basics. If we have to lie, we've got to do it right.
