Truths And Lies [Megastar - TFP]

The following days were such a pain in the aft for Starscream, having to answer indiscreet questions, going along Megatron's schedule, handling Eclipse's enthusiastic bursts of happiness when he said some detail that he and Megatron had already discussed in the planning of the lie, and mostly, mostly, the constant comments coming from Fireblaze, every day, from five to numerous comments.

One of those comments started the problem of that day, when the big femme made another joke about Starscream and Megatron's size difference, and Ecplipse, ignoring the joke, asked that question.

Eclipse: "I noticed that Starscream has his own quarters, and that is understandable, but they're so far from Megatron's, why is that?"

Starscream didn't know how to answer, that wasn't a problem they thought about.

Starscream: "O-Oh- uhm, we-"

Megatron: "We kept distance to concentrate on our tasks, instead of staying together all the time, and we are close to finish moving Starscream's things to my quarters."

Megatron's answer was totally logical, except for the last part. Starscream had to use all his self-control not to stare at the larger bot like he had just slayed his domestic cryber-cat.
Eclipse kept talking about the topic, and once Megatron and Starscream were alone again, sharp claws grabbed the Warlord's arm, and he turned.

Starscream: "Couldn't you stick to the part where we had to concentrate on our tasks? You had to tell them that I'm coming to recharge and live in your quarters!?"

Megatron scoffed a bit, and chuckled darkly.

Megatron: "If you're forced to live in my quarters, it'll be easier for me to notice plans to overthrow me."

Starscream growled. True, he was forced to live in Megatron's quarters now, but with all this lie going on day and night, it's not like he could plan anything against the Warlord.

It didn't take too much to move Starscream's belongings to Megatron's quarters. No one questioned anything, and Starscream was fine with that, more than fine, but let himself be damn if Megatron ever expected him to recharge in his same berth.
The winged bot sat on the edge of the absurdly huge berth, for some reason, too big even for Megatron himself, but probably he liked to have space for himself, thing he wouldn't have if Starscream recharged there with him.

The Seeker laid down right on the edge of the berth, putting as much distance between himself and the Warlord as he could, and as the night went on, he managed to fall into recharge even in that position.
Megatron, on the other servo, couldn't fall to recharge in any way. Given his fragile masculinity, he had decided to remove many of the heated pillows and blankets he used to be warm during recharge, as it soothed his joints and made him wake up well rested.

But Starscream was there. He couldn't let the Seeker know he slept with heated pillows and blankets, he'd never hear the end of it! And for that reason, Megatron was there, laying in a cold berth, needing warmth, but too prideful and stubborn to risk his image in the Seeker's optics.
He couldn't recharge tho, it was so damn difficult closing his optics without that warmth. Then, he moved one of his stabilizers and hitted a highly heated surface.

He looked in said direction and noticed how the highly heated surface his stabilizer touched was actually Starscream's leg. His optics widened remembering that Seekers have an inner system and coding that allows them to heat up to extremely high temperatures, and Starscream was there, cooling fans kicking at a low level to keep the heat stable.
Megatron turned and looked at the Seeker, he was peacefully recharging, and may he be damned for thinking one moment that Starscream, without his usual stupid expressions, was rather stunning. The Warlord placed a servo over Starscream's tank, feeling the intense warmth. He couldn't resist and grabbed Starscream's frame, the Seeker didn't wake up, luckily, and Megatron laid there, holding the smaller bot in his large servos.
