Their home was very big. I honestly thought I was going to lost by just the sight of it. But it was also very beautiful, even it being such a simple color it was magnificent.

"Professor Kirke is not accustomed to having children in this house. And, as such, there are a few rules we need to follow. There will be no shouting, or running. No improper use of dumbwaiter. No touching of the historical artifacts!" She says the last part louder as Susan was reaching out to touch one
"And above all, there shall be no distributing of the professor" she tells us

As we all started to unpack Peter turned on the radio.
"German aircraft carried out a number of attacks, on Great Britain last night. The raids, which lasted for several hours-" it says but Susan turns it off which earns her an annoyed glance from Peter. But it was quickly washed off his face when we heard Lucy sniffle.
"The sheets feel scratchy" she tries to tell us
Susan and Peter go sit by her side as I kneel in front of her
"Wars don't last forever Lucy, we'll be home soon" Susan tells her
"Yeah if homes still there" Edmund says walking in
"Ed!" Peter says before turning back to Lucy
"You saw outside. This place is huge. We can do whatever we want here" Peter tells her
"Now how about a story then off to bed yeah? It's especially bed time for you Lucy and Edmund" I tell them
"Yes mum" Edmund rolls his eyes
"Oh shut up. Go go, off to bed" I say in a laughing manner

The next day it poured day rain, leaving all of us to somehow distract ourselves.
"Gastorvascular. Come on Peter gastorvascular" Susan says
"Is it Latin?" Peter asks with a very board expression
"Yes" Susan replies
"Is it Latin for 'worst game ever invented'?" Ed asks as I try to hide my smile
"We could play hide and seek" Lucy suggests
"But we're all having so much fun" Peter says sarcastically
"Come on Peter please" she begs
"Pretty please?" She says tugging on his shirt
"One, two, three, four-" Peter starts to count
"What?" Ed sighs
"Five, six, seven, eight, nine, tin, eleven-" Peter counts as we all take off running

I found myself a hiding spot not to far from where I saw Ed hiding, I waited there for Peter to come find us. But it was all ended quickly when we heard Lucy yelling.
"It's all right! I'm back! I'm all right!" Lucy yells running in
I quickly get out of my hiding spot going over to her confused
"Shut up! He's coming!" Ed tells her peaking out but just then Peter comes into the hallway.
"You know, I'm not quite sure you three have quite got the idea of this game" Peter laughs
"Weren't you wondering where I was?" Lucy asks us
"That's the point. That was why he was seeking you" Ed tells her
"Does this mean I win?" Susan asks walking up behind Peter
"I don't think Lucy wants to play anymore" Peter tells her
"But, I've been gone for hours" Lucy mumbles as we all look at her, confusion filling our eyes.
