Loud yells rung through the air as thousands of Telmarine men as they cut and moved wood around their camp. We hid behind one of their piles of wood watching at four men on horses came up.
"Perhaps this wasn't the best way to come after all" Susan whispers
I watch all of the men carefully before we turned back around.

"So where exactly do you think you saw Aslan?" Peter asks Lucy as she leads us
"I wish you'd all stop trying to sound like grown-ups. I don't think I saw him, I did see him" Lucy tells him
"I am a grown-up" Trumpkin mumbles
I walk in front with Lucy as I stand where I saw him
"It was right over-" Lucy starts to say until the ground beneath us breaks and we fall.
"Lucy! Cora!" We hear them yell as we look up to see them looking down at us
"Here" Lucy finishes as we both laugh before standing up
And with that, we were able to safely cross the river.

After walking a bit more we made camp and Edmund and Trumpkin made a fire. We all circled around and one by one we each fell asleep. But I stayed awake, looking at the stars. I missed Narnia very much, even if there could've been another war around the corner, it felt like home.

"Cora, are you awake?" I hear Peter whisper
"Yeah?" I answer looking at him
"Why do you think Lucy and you saw Aslan and we didn't?" He asks me
"So you believe us now" I chuckle softly
"I guess so, part of me almost doesn't want to" he tells me
"Do you want my full honesty? Or half? Or a full lie?" I ask him
"I would enjoy the full honesty" he laughs
"I think Lucy was exactly right, you weren't looking. Lucy has a mind I've never quite seen before. While I wanted to see Aslan I wasn't really looking for him, that's probably why I only got a glimpse. But Lucy, her focus is to find him. Her hope and faith in him to show up, I know that's why she saw him. Maybe you just aren't believing that he will show up again" I tell him softly
"Yeah" he mumbles and I could hear in his voice that he wanted to believe me, but part of him didn't accept it fully.
"Thank you Cora" he tells me
"You're very welcome, get some rest. I feel like tomorrow will be a long day" I smile as I turn back over
"Goodnight" he whispers
"Goodnight Peter" I whisper back before sleep overtakes me

"Cora" I hear someone whisper
I gasp awake and look up to see Aslan standing there
"Aslan" I say quickly standing up and giving him a hug
"You've grown" I laugh
"So have you dear one. Walk with me" he says and I don't hesitate to listen

"There's another war coming, isn't there" I ask him
"Yes dear there is" he nods
"Aslan... why didn't Peter or Susan see you?" I ask him
"When you came to Narnia last what did you learn?" He asks me
"I learned to believe in myself" I answer
"Were you the only one to learn something here?" He asks me
"No... no, in fact everyone learned something. Whether it was about themselves or others" I tell him
"And now you are here again. Do you think it might be because it's time you each learn something again?" He asks
"I suppose so, yes" I nod
"Peter must learn a valuable lesson. And so the rest of you. But it will come with time, not everything happens in an instant" he tells me
I try to rap my head around all of his words, most of the time he almost speaks to me in riddles, as if he wants me to dive deeper into his words and find the meaning to it all.

Then he turns to look at me.
"Now you must wake up" he tells me
"What?" I ask confused
"Wake up Cora-" he starts to say again
"Cora!" Susan shakes me awake as I gasp sitting up
I look around to see Peter and Lucy were gone, and we didn't waste another second to run off to find them.

"Prince Caspian?" I hear Peter ask as we run up
"Yes, and who are you?" The other voice asks
"Peter!" I yell as I see him and another boy
The boy looks at me and we both keep an eye contact that felt oddly weird to me. A good weird.
"King Peter?" The boy asks, who I realized was Caspian.
"I believed you called" Peter says
"Well yes but.... I thought you'd be older" he tells us
"If you like we could come back in a few
years-" Peter starts to say
"No that's all right. You're just...you're not exactly what I expected" he tells us as he gaze falls on me again
"Neither are you" Edmund speaks up
"A common enemy unites even the oldest of foes" a bagger says
"We have anxiously awaited your return, my liege. Our hearts and swords are at your service" a mouse tells us then gives a bow
"Oh my gosh he is so cute" Lucy whispers to me
"Who said that?" The mouse asks holding his sword out
"Sorry" Lucy says quickly
"Oh uh your majesty with the greatest respect, I do believe 'courageous', 'courteous' or 'chivalrous' might more befit a knight of Narnia" he tells her
"Well at least we know some of you can handle a sword" Peter says glaring at Caspian
"Yes indeed. And I have recently put it to good use, securing weapons for your army sire" the mouse says
"Good because we're going to need every sword we can get" Peter reply's
"Well then you will probably be wanting yours back" Caspian says handing Peter his sword
It took a lot in me not to burst out laughing at Peter's face.
