This little bit at the beginning, this is how I kind of imagine it happened. It's not very creative, I admit but I hope you like it nonetheless.

*****************

I don't know what happened to be honest. One minute we were being led inside by Mary and then the next, we were ambushed and I'm pretty sure they had hit me over the head.

When I woke, Bob and Eugene were staring at me worriedly but when they saw that I was awake, their expressions changed to those of relief.

My head throbbed as I slowly sat up, "What happened?"

"They hit you." Eugene mumbled while I looked around, "More than once it looks like."

My hand went to the back of my head, feeling around and wincing as I touched the spot I had been hit, "Where's everyone else?"

Bob nodded to behind me and I saw that everyone else was still out. "I think we're in a train car," he went on to explain as I crawled over to Rosita, who was closest to me just to check that she was okay, "She's fine. They all are. We just have to wait for them to wake up."

"Why are they doing this?" I asked, stopping when we heard yelling and screaming from outside and the three of us moved to where there was a crack in the door and looking out, we could see a few men and a woman being dragged back inside and I looked up at Bob, "Where do you think they're taking them? Do you think they're gonna kill them? Oh God, do you think they're gonna kill us?"

"I don't know!" he hissed, sighing as soon as he had uttered the words, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap. I'm scared too."

I turned when I heard someone groan and I saw that Maggie was starting to wake up and I quickly moved to her side, "Hey. You okay?"

"Why are they doing this?" she whispered, repeating what I had said a few minutes prior.

"Don't worry about that now. How's your head?"

"Fine. Just a little sore." she then glanced around at everyone else before crawling over to Glenn, "How long have we been in here?"

"I would say about a day." Eugene answered, "It's hard to know considering that we were all unconscious."

"You're bleeding!" Maggie said loudly and she ripped a piece of the bottom of her shirt off to press against my temple.

"They must have hit you with some force." Bob said quietly as he came over to inspect my wound.

"What do we do?" Eugene asked, causing us to look up at him.

"We wait for everyone to wake up." I answered.

"And then what?"

Bob, Maggie and I all glanced uneasily at each other and I realised that none of gave him an answer. We couldn't.

****************

It was another length of time before everybody else woke up but it was as if we had pretty much accepted our fate.

We were all sat down against the wall, the silence in the car was deafening.

In fact, everything was silent.

"Did you hear that?" Rosita asked, sitting up straighter, "That was gunshots."

"They're probably just taking out walkers." Maggie said from where she was resting against Glenn's shoulder.

Then I heard it too. "It's definitely gunshots but I'm sure that Maggie's right."

We had heard it a couple of times since being in here but this time, something was different. The shots were coming closer.
